Can't wait for it to get quietly cancelled because of illegal layoffs or some bullshit

"My lobster is too buttery" as a gotcha for people complaining about things you like is a bad analogy, because what if I do actually want to taste the lobster and not drench it in carcinogenic amounts of butter

25th Anniversary Techo is the only thing saving Burlap Techo from being the worst Techo color ever

ProblematicPeriwinklePlum @probperiplum.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

You could say any of the Burlap pets are Coraline, then. Coraline is my favorite movie and if this was a tribute to that movie in some way, I'd be flabbergasted if it were true.

Toy Nimmo was clearly based on a sand frog, but if it's supposed to be based on tbese they did a horrible job because if it's Burlap, they absolutely could've added patches with sand leaking out.

The Neopets fandom has FORGOTTEN about Techos...

040

ProblematicPeriwinklePlum @probperiplum.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

I got a pretty positive response to this so far, so here's a little early concept I did for the Elderlyboy specifically, as he was the first I designed. He had a less saturated color scheme but at this point he was based on a house gecko, and not a knight anole. That inspiration went a long way!

With Techo Day 2026 coming up, I decided to take another stab with an idea I really like for a new Techo color: Elderly Techos. But these ain't your run of the mill grandpas and grandmas; they're boxers with a shed skin hoodie that are the contenders of yesteryear. #neopets

Surprised you didn't mention that Jake the barber was the first recurring Simpsons character ever introduced, beating Grampa by a few episodes. He's not a common recurring character, but he defiently made the jump to the series.
