Song of the Day: Shout by the Isley Brothers This track was part of a long list of Party Mix CDs my Dad used to play around dinner time. Well those and the Beatles. Its fun to sing along to, it gets 2 distinct parts sonically, and it makes you want to beat, move, and shake.

Song of the Day: New Jazz Fiddle by The Asylum Street Spankers Every summer I get the urge to listen to the Spanker's entire Discography. Youve caught me in a Spanking mood and Im obligated to warn the public. Im also a fool for a good fiddle but who isn't? We got beating hearts

Song of the Day: Blue Lips by Regina Spektor A fantastic track with driving instrumentals that really help the lyrics and the imagery land. This song is prescriptive on what ails us and our planet while managing to convey a feeling of hope if you can find it.

Song of the Day: Me and My Baby (Saturday Night) by Steam Powered Giraffe Back in the day, even tho I had nothing to apologize for, I was learning Ukulele and this song was among the first I was trying to noodle around on. News:SPG is introducing a new Bot. I wish them the best.

Song of the Day: Sweet Tooth by David Rowlings Machine This is a great Americana track that falls under the category of Sweet happy sounding songs that are about drug addition actually. Don't develop a sweet tooth if you can help it, and don't be afraid to ask for help.

Song of the Day: Kiss me, Son of God by They Might Be Giants I have a permanent mental connection between TMNG and Griffin Mcelroy and his brand. Its not a bad thing, it just is. Remember that there are no good empires. People create things and have value, not systems.

Song of the Day: Breathin by Asylum Street Spankers The Spankers are still mine and God's favorite band and that isn't changing anytime soon. Breathin is just the perfect mix of jazzy, romantic, and just a smidgen of sexy. I also adore the actual breathing as part of the music.

Song of the Day: Bubble Pop Electric by Gwen Stefani Actually fully and truly this sexy raunchy pop track has been stuck in my head all day. This track is straight up just fun. Sometimes you just want to sing something silly and naughty.

Song of the Day: Too Easy to Kill by Emerson Woolf & The Wishbones I'm a sucker for a duet, pronounced duet, and this Indie Americana track is the con I'll keep falling for. Love more often makes one a coward when it should embolden us. Its hard to not stay in one's comfort zone

Song of the Day: Lagtrain (German Cover) by Cecelia Immergreen To quote myself, "Cece's singing sounds like overhearing someone else's wife, who they love dearly, singing in another room at a party. (Positive)" This song also really compliments her voice. The girl's got talent.

I'm writing a story. Here's the premise. What if empathy was real and people could feel it?

Song of the Day: Senorita by Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello There was this period a few years back where I saw a lot of these small youtube channels make MHA "lyric prank group text" videos. The premise never really made much sense to me and I was amazed at how many people made em

Song of the Day: Sweetness by Jimmy Eat World This rock track explores the feeling of finally leaving a toxic relationship. Its disorientating to suddenly be thrust into freedom and your emotions may still be feeling rough and raw. You're allowed to feel okay without them.

Song of the Day: God Complex (Mojo) by poutyface This tracks got the grungy angry tired youth energy you want in a summer song. Nothings going your way and you're shouting about it. Your vices comfort but they're bad for you. All you can wonder is who the hell did this to you?

Song of the Day: Community Garden by The Scary Jokes, Louie Zong A very cool track sung from the perspective of a monster worming their way into your heart. You gotta plant your roots in a good place with other people. We have to cultivate places for people to grow together.

Song of the Day: Casual Encounters by Beach Fuzz, Natalie Crane The number of Beach Rock songs that can end up on my "Through the Brush and Pines" (my romance and pining) Playlist is more than you'd expect. Some things wander into your life and you just can't seem to shake em.

Song of the Day: Big Dawgs by Hanumankind, Kalmi 'Wait hol up let me take a pic you look tough' the song. Everything about this track is tough. The lyrics. The music video. The beat. I've seen plenty if edits set to tbis track but I honestly think the music video takes the cake

Song of the Day: Swing Low Sweet Chariot by B. B. King I grew up singing and hearing a lot of blues and a lot of hymns. I was raised Lutheran and music was a major part of the faith. I'm honestly grateful to have been filled up with so much soulful music.

Song of the Day: Sorte Sigøjner by Brothers Moving A fantastic Danish band people probably know from their busking videos like the last song/band suggestion. From what I can gather, don't just pass each other by when they need help. Those in power have split us apart.

Song of the Day: Down by the River by Walker and Wylde It isnt one but this song feels murder ballad adja. to me. A man who can't give up his vices in the pursuit of his dreams to the point he sells his lover. I like to imagine Orpheus as the singer like this is a missing track

Song of the Day: City Summer Blues by Pokey Lafarge Brothers and Sisters and Themmers, to say its hot out would be an understatement. This song could honestly be the song of the summer. Stay cool, stay safe, hang out with a loved one. Go try something fresh and new.

Song of the Day: Julep by The Punch Brothers Would you believe that this was in my top 3 songs listened to in 2020? I had a case of the Mondays for some odd reason. Thinking about people living and dying happy in love was comforting. You have to live for the small lovely things

Song of the Day: The Distance by Cake We all love Cake. Their songs are fun as heck and their style is iconic. That all being said J.P.C.'s Cake song parody opening line of, "I have a Car that drives Electronically." has stuck with me for about 6 years now.

Song by the Day: Barracuda by Heart In this day and age where artists are being paid pennies in the dollar if that and their art is stolen to shred and reconstitute in the AI machine the sentiment of Barracuda is as relevant as its even been. Fuck the Industry. Any industry.
