I don't 'get it' either really, I'm very literal though so maybe that's a issue on my part. I still think a lot of it stems from virtue-signaling, 'well someone else said this is wrong so I need to as well' stuff. There's a reasonably large gap in the double-standard on the age range stuff.

I eat something IMMEDIATELY before going into a grocery store, even if it's just a jerky stick; and that thins the cart out quite a bit. (Classical grocery stores I think rearrange things intentionally, periodically - to waste your time, AND make things more tempting.)

Starlink is a fantastic idea and implementation. Unfortunately since this bipedal chunk of camel foreskin decided to become a politician I think letting him take control over anything else is probably a bad idea.
