We said we would have an exciting announcement… We’re very excited to welcome Luxance to PRISMΔ∇RHYTHM! Our players might recognize Luxance from his work on Music Diver, but he’s also done charting for WACCA, Yunyun Syndrome and more!

we've had some trouble with this in event promo before, so between that & not wanting to alienate japanese guests, we wanted to do physical prizes instead. most of you don't mind, which we greatly appreciate! i just hope this helps you understand why we're doing this. (3/3)

to put it simply, japanese law's very broad definition of "gambling" makes it illegal to receive cash prizes from a tournament if prize money comes from participants' entry fees. it's possible to get around this in some cases, but those are gray areas more than anything. (2/3)

moca here - we've been looking over the responses to the questionnaire and have noticed a bit of confusion re: the question about cash prizes, so i'd like to take a minute to clarify! TLDR: this is to comply with japanese law, not at all to cut costs for the T/O's sake. (1/3)
