I just lost two of the most important people in my life within days of each other. Completely unrelated causes. I forced myself to draw to not fall completely into despair. I don't think it's working. I'm so depressed right now. But I hate not doing anything. May as well draw more hypnotized guys.

I'm working on shortcuts to drawing anatomy while having it still look good, and I think I figured out a good way to draw heads quickly and consistently using a circle and square with a crosshair to determine the browline and direction of the face. I still need to refine it, but it's a good step up.

I know I have the freedom to do what I want to do, but I vastly prefer to focus on the freedom to be who I want to be. I don't want to be a NSFW artist, so devoting time to it is time poorly spent for me. I draw hypnokink on pride to indulge a bit, but I'm less interested in kink than hypno tbh.

My next anatomy improvement goal lol! I've been focusing on the head and torso a lot lately, and now the limbs don't quite match up in quality comparatively speaking. I need to make up some tricks to draw them faster and better like I've been doing for the head and torso.

I decided to redo an old artwork I have on deviantart to see how much I've improved, and I'm very happy with how far I've come. :D They're using pk hypnosis to play a game where the funniest reaction to a suggestion wins. I may extend the room and add more characters later. Not sure. #hypnoart

I decided to give the lasso fill tool method of sketching a try, and I think I'm in love?! I can just draw shapes for the muscle structure over a stick and have it look pretty good instead of fudging it over and over. I still need more practice, but this is going to be my go-to from now on. :D #WIP

OK, I think my family member is past the danger zone. They're still in the hospital recovering for now, but we think they're going to be fine now. Im utterly exhausted, so no idea when im getting back to drawing, but im doodling to get back in the swing of things. It's just going to take some time.

This took way less time than I thought it would tbh. The idea behind this piece is a hypnosis file that puts the listener into a fantasy world. Immediately getting hypnotized by an evil witch with a hypno'd dragon in your hypnotic trance seems like a poor start to the adventure. #hypnoart #hypno

[WIP] I was just going to recreate a piece based on me sleepwalking down some stairs from ages ago, how did a dragon get here?! I read the first chapter of Dandadan, and Okarun said he tried regressive hypnosis to see if he was abducted by aliens(most likely a fake memory due to leading suggestions). I was thinking about doing a piece based on that, but I didn't like my sketches of it at the time. This is based on that idea.

A WIP of one of my next pieces. I always start with the underlying structure so I can build on top of it later. This character is going to be fully clothed, but it helps me to see where the muscle structure is before tossing clothes on them. I prefer ballet over belly dance, but only just. #hypnoart

OK! This is the sum total of what I figured out when doing anatomy studies for a looooong time. It can't replace putting your nose to the grindstone, but perhaps this will make it easier on you while you do studies of your own. There are no shortcuts to make you good, after all! In procreate there's an option called feather when you use the selection tool. It's the same thing, and it's what made me look up of there was something similar in CSP.

That's it. That's the entire process. I blurred my selection by 4 points in this drawing. Just lasso huge areas where you want your shadows and light to be, blur, then click fill. Repeat until shaded. I think blur selection is in the select menu in CSP. Go crazy.

In both Procreate and Clip Studio Paint, there's an option to blur the border of the lasso selection tool. You'll have to look up how. I made a bunch of auto actions that lets me automatically blur my selection at the press of a button, then I fill the selection on a multiply or overlay layer.

Yes, it is. I don't really have as much interest in replaying it like I do pokemon, but it was very fun! Side note, some of the npcs are having their personalities slowly replaced by the beasts they use most. A guy that uses doglike beasts runs up to fight you while barking and snarling for example.

Basically, draw a line the width of the characters head on top of the head, then a line the width of the characters pelvis under the pelvis, then draw an hourglass from those two lines. That lines up with the clavicle region of the torso. It makes it easier to figure out what to draw where.

lines up with the bottom of the ribcage, then an x from the bottom of the ribcage lines up with the top of the pelvis. It’s super easy to make proportional looking characters from the front doing this, which can then help you make characters at different angles, which I’ll show another day.

The short of what I figured out is that if you make a line at the top of the head the same width as the head, then do the same with the bottom of the pelvis, then make an x from both lines, it roughly lines up where the clavicle is. Then an x from the clavicle line to the pelvis- (1 of ?)

#sfwhypnosis I’ve been practicing a lot recently, and what better way to show the fruits of my labor than with some hypnochickens! These three are me at different times of my life after I got into hypnosis, though I haven’t added my glasses yet lol! Details & thoughts in the alt text! Enjoy!

A drawing of myself as an adult, teen, and kid hypnotized to act like chickens. All 3 are perched on a sphere on top of a pole, which will be used as part of the foreground details when I come back to finish this piece later.

I got into hypnosis at a young age after facing a phobia of hypnosis I had from watching The Jungle Book with my mother who has a severe phobia of snakes. I loved snakes back then, but her fear of the snake made me afraid of what he was doing, namely hypnotism. I didn’t want to be afraid of something I didn’t understand, so I borrowed my mom’s laptop in the middle of the night and started reading all about hypnosis and watching videos of hypnosis shows when I finally grew the nerve.

They looked like they were having a lot of fun, even when they were told to dance, act like animals, and huff their own shoes as gas masks. I was utterly fascinated, and tried out my first hypnosis video the next night. I was still afraid, so I opened the transcript of the induction video and read the entire thing to make sure there wasn’t anything nefarious hidden within. Funnily enough, reading the induction may have put me in a light hypnotic state before I started the video, because I dropped fast and hard during it. I remember feeling like my body was floating, then waking up to find I was flopped over on my bed, cheek covered in drool. I watched a deepener video next, then finally a suggestion video that made me think I was a dog. It was incredibly fun to me, and I would watch fun hypnosis videos almost every night well into my adult years.

As a teen, I felt less robotic while hypnotized, my personality more obvious while following a suggestion. Rather than blankly believing I was a chicken like when I was a kid, I believed it was a game all to myself. Like a reflex, I had to be the best chicken possible to have the most fun possible, so I ironically acted more chickenlike as a result. I’m much the same now, but alas, I have less time to be hypnotized.
