This sign feels important in the age of social media and internet engagement algorithms

A sign saying what a person can and cannot control.

Under the "I cannot control" section, it says "Things I shouldn't focus my time & energy on" and is surrounded by bubbles that list the following things: Other people's motives, other people's happiness, the past, if people like or dislike me, how others respond or react, the weather, the future, other people's opinions, what other people think or do, other people's mistakes, and what happens around me.

Under the "I can control" section, it says "Things I should focus on" and is surrounded by bubbles that list the following things: My boundaries, how I express myself, being adaptable to change, my words, my thoughts and actions, asking for help, the way I act, where I put my time and energy, my beliefs and values, the way I treat others, how I respond, my attitude, and the choices I make.

A character painting for @macrozyas.bsky.social from way too long ago I kept forgetting to post! The throne and the kingdom seem glamorous at first, but then you realize "oh god is this another petty squabble I need to deal with" and it dawns on you suddenly that not every day is so grand.

A large, gray and white cat sits upon a massive throne in his purple and teal hall, leaning back into the cushioned seal with one hand propping up his head and pressing into his rather bored looking expression. Two small advisors sit and stand amongst him, looking on at three silhouetted figured at the massive cat's feet, mid-explanation on some minor grievance or other.

Oh hey. Its the issue I was having except mine was dealing with no one able to help me or people waaaay on the other side of the art spectrum unable to aid me. Dip your toes in art servers. I know Sinix has one thats pretty active if you want your stuff critiqued or to socialize ^^

Seems like you reached an art plateau and you need to branch out a bit. Experiment a bit and try new techniques or do something completely out of your comfort zone. I'm not very good at art to help you with mentorship but I am always here for critique if you need be.

A VERY overdue but very fun birthday gift for @deriaz.bsky.social of his kobold doing a painting of Emperor Caius. I'm... Not sure our kobold friend will ever finish his painting at this rate... Thank you again for letting me paint our boys together! #bara #furry #furryart #musk #musky #armpit

A greyscale painting.
A small kobold stands shirtless behind an easel looking flustered and excited while holding a brush. He looks over to his subject: a large, muscular, and very sweaty and musky lion. The lion has one arm raised behind his head, revealing a hairy armpit. He is lightly draped in cloth to cover his nudity, but his legs and torso are exposed as he rests on a pedestal. His body has visible droplets of sweat and thick body hair, and clouds of musk float around him. He has a sly grin on his face, and a caption at the bottom reads "Come little kobold, can you really do a proper study from so far away?"

I never put my old cat man up on Bluesky on his own. Hmm. I fix. Synas, my Circle of Stars Druid from western Anauroch. He finds himself, decades later, in Neverwinter after his cards lead him to the coast, to be hired to head to Phandalin to help investigate a cave...

Painting of a Leonin Druid, Circle of Stars path, named Synas. A white and black cat with a large black mane, stands amongst the plains, one hand on his hip and holding a massive quarterstaff topped with an antler. He stands amongst a backdrop of stars and an aurora, as his burnt orange eyes look up to the sky.

A piece I did as part of a trade with @deriaz.bsky.social a few years ago now. Drawing Bruce was such a treat. I hope I can do more art trades in the future as well! #bara #furry #arttrade

A muscular box elder bug (owned by deriaz) flexes his arm. His bicep has a nice peak and some stubble is visible in his exposed armpit. His grey chitinous body has neon blue highlights across the chest and lats.

Trying to get back on the horse after a week-ish of burnout and fatigue. I'm still not 100% but I can't sit around, so I started with something more casual before proper work tomorrow. (Sorry for another WIP, I'll share this again when it's done and proper!)

WIP of a character reference sheet. A green and orange copper dr-- kobold, copper kobold, named Deriaz. A front and back shot, two portraits (one angry from above, one mouth open and laughing from the side), and a height comparison showing his 4 foot, 122 cm stature next to a 6 foot tall silhouette.

"Hey Deriaz, where's the big guy?" I know! I'll use the "May I help you?" riff. Personal piece of my boxelder bug guy, Bruce.

Character painting of an anthropomorphic, or "furry", boxelder bug insect named Bruce. He stands between two red, torn and frayed banners hanging and wafting in the breeze, near some ruined stone pillars. He is in a classic serratus bodybuilding pose, one hand behind his head as the other is flexed along his side, showing off his chest, core, and lats. He is wearing a singular pair of posing trunks, red like his eyes, and his long antennae are draped behind him in the shadow.

Sounds like you gotta update your Terms of Service (if you have one) or a Eula of a sort? That way if they do modify it you can state they broke a rule or try to prevent modifying of game files. Maybe look into protecting your game some...to prevent ai slop/cringe bros from reusing or reselling.

To the newer artists and anyone who needs to hear it, find what works for you and don't be worried that your workflow doesn't look like someone else's! Experiment and play around, but avoid value judgements when comparing yourself to others. You only cause yourself grief trying to be other people.

My biggest concern for a lot of these so called "friendships" is that I always have to initiate the conversation. They never reach out and I always have to reach out. That and when we make plans they either don't follow through or it's always "next time". I'm tired of all this running around.

CW: Hyper (male, clothed) A character painting for @krovillian.bsky.social ! The sights at night sure are wonderful.

A character painting of a well-endowed yellow dragon furry character. He sits on a grassy hill at night, leaning back on one arm as he looks up at the stars in the night sky, his white hair lightly tossed in the breeze. His other arm rests on his bent knee, his other leg stretched out comfortably. A large bulge fills the space between his legs, unacknowledged by the dragon, as though it were casual and normal.

WIP painting of an anthropomorphic / "furry" Boxelder Bug man. He is posing amongst some pillars and banners, flexing his bodybuilder physique. One arm is raised and tucked behind his head, showing off his wide lat, while the other arm is flexed next to his waist, as his legs stand apart in a strong stance.

A character painting for @tonystfns.bsky.social featuring @tehviriden.bsky.social , too! Suns out, guns out, and a whole lot of scales, too~ Ferrhis (left), Ivy (middle), and Braz (right) taking some time to enjoy the warmer weather. (With a little Pride alt, too. c:)

Character painting of three dragon men / dragonborn. On the left is Ferrhis, a silver dragonborn, standing with one arm raised in a bicep flex, the shortest of three, sporting a golden speedo. Middle is Ivy, a white dragon and the tallest, sports a green swimwear while his arms are resting on his friends' shoulders. On the right is Brazuldul, or Braz, a golden/brass dragon man, standing more perpendicular to the viewer, with one hand on Ivy's far shoulder and the other playing at his swimsuit's blue strap. They are standing on the beach, with a large cloud filling the sunny air behind them.
