Please stop posting about the white stag that was (allegedly) seen recently, and its (alleged) location. I can’t prove it, but I just know he is watching…

If I say my current MMC was inspired by Howl from Howl’s Moving Castle and Conrad Fisher from TSITP, will that help explain the level of yearning I’m going for here? Yearning, plus a whole lot of existential angst. 😔

This aged like milk btw… I now have two and counting. 🙃

I don’t think we’re ready for how amazing it’s going to be to have Aaron Pierre in a Star Wars movie. He’s so beautiful and that accent??? A gift to the Star Wars fandom, tbh.

Priscilla @priscillawrites.bsky.social · 26/08/2025

Yes, this comes from personal experience. 😓

030

Priscilla @priscillawrites.bsky.social · 26/08/2025

The worst mistake a writer can ever make (brace yourself for incredibly philosophical advice) is temporarily naming a character “Will.” Do not EVER name a character that unless you’re sure you won’t be changing it later. Because if you do, the Find & Replace feature will NOT serve you.

He’s not a perfect choice at all, but that’s the point. She wasn’t a great person either, they were both flawed. But Lucy needed to choose love to stop seeing it as simple math. That doesn’t mean her choice would be right for everyone though, and I don’t think that’s what the movie is trying to say.

010

Priscilla @priscillawrites.bsky.social · 16/06/2025

What’s missing in some of the discourse about The Materialists (spoilers ahead) is that I don’t think the movie is trying to say that a guy like Lucy’s final pick is the right choice for everyone, but simply that he was the right choice for HER because of what she learned throughout the film.

I’m grateful that labubus have those creepy little teeth because that’s the one thing that’s held me back from buying them and that’s saved me a lot of money tbh. I get the craze for them truly, but I can’t get past the teeth. 🤭

Someone on Taylor Swift’s merch team loves cowboy like me, and I love them. 🖤 (Literally my favorite TS song)

Went to watch today’s Wicked screening and the entire theater cheered when the movie ended, got super quiet as the For Good trailer started, then cheered even louder when it was over. It was the most wholesome thing. 🥹

In honor of today it’s time I spoke my truth: I Wish You Would is one of the best songs on 1989 and I’m tired of pretending it isn’t. #TaylorSwift

Unpopular opinion but I was more excited for Debut TV than Reputation. 🤭 So I will be streaming the OG Debut now in celebration. 💅 #TaylorSwift

Bail Organa has been in my list of Top 10 Star Wars characters for a while, but after rewatching ROTS in theaters, seeing him in Andor, and now reading about him in Mask of Fear, he is dangerously close to breaking my Top 5. He’s just so wonderful.

At this point I think we might have seen more found families (at least for main characters) in Star Wars than actual families related by blood. It’s such a consistent Star Wars trope and I live for it.

It’s no wonder why we always turn to stories of rebels to fill our imaginations? Had the pleasure to illustrate Jannah for the new edition of Star Wars Women of the Galaxy.

The way he repeatedly had to tell Mon “I told you so,” the way Bail getting Mon out of the Senate was rewritten so that Luthen could get all the glory, even the way Wilmon and Cassian defended Luthen to the Rebel Alliance… It all just felt so heavy handed and obvious to me.

000

Priscilla @priscillawrites.bsky.social · 15/05/2025

I still feel like certain characters (Cassian, Bail, Mon) were written in such a way to make Luthen the great hero of Andor (though it’s Cassian’s show…) and that is why, out of spite, I will never really like him. 🤷🏻‍♀️

ANDOR creator Tony Gilroy praises Kathleen Kennedy for the success of the show: “Kathy just kept saying yes…There’s no show without her. For all the shit that she takes online, it’s just insane. This show exists because she forced it to happen. What a tough job she has, man.”

I had a realization today that my stubborn refusal to self-publish and pursue traditional publishing instead (because it’s statistically harder) definitely stems from “gifted kid syndrome.” Aka the belief that the best way to prove yourself is to do things the hard way…

120

Priscilla @priscillawrites.bsky.social · 08/05/2025

I also think the way he’s constantly written as the “I told you so” character has gotten really old but anyway!

010

Priscilla @priscillawrites.bsky.social · 08/05/2025

You guys want to know my Andor secret opinion? Luthen gets on my nerves a little more each episode. 😑 I’m not saying he’s not helping the rebellion, obviously he is, but I just don’t like a lot of his choices. I also don’t think threads will tolerate this opinion so I’m saying it here instead. 🤭👀

I watched the golden trifecta of films in theaters this weekend: a Star Wars movie (A New Hope), a Marvel movie (Thunderbolts*) and a period piece (Pride & Prejudice 2005).

010

Priscilla @priscillawrites.bsky.social · 03/05/2025

I finally watched the first 3 episodes of The Last of Us today and I already knew what was going to happen (not because I played the game but because I saw a spoiler on the internet a long time ago) but it was still traumatizing. 🙃

Priscilla @priscillawrites.bsky.social · 02/05/2025

Fighting the urge to see Pride & Prejudice in theaters for the 5th time since there are still showtimes out there 👀

Feels like a good day to repost this for no reason at all…

Watching Revenge of the Sith in theaters just confirmed to me that Star Wars is often at its best when it’s camp, and I mean that in the best possible way.

Priscilla @priscillawrites.bsky.social · 29/04/2025

Currently sitting in the theater to watch Pride & Prejudice for the fourth time because I have a problem. 🤭 It’s my favorite movie, okay? I want to live in it but I can’t, so this is the closest I can get.

030

Priscilla @priscillawrites.bsky.social · 28/04/2025

Is it even possible to make a post on social media these days that gets any sort of traction without having to clarify exactly what you meant because people are incapable of understanding that the entire nuance of a situation cannot be conveyed in a few sentences? 🙃😔

030

Priscilla @priscillawrites.bsky.social · 27/04/2025

Getting Regal Unlimited for three months is the best thing I ever did because I’ve already watched the Pride & Prejudice rerelease 3 times (and am going to again) and Revenge of the Sith once, but am going to again on Tuesday. I practically live in the theater and it’s the best. 🥲

It’s been over two years since I got to see exclusive Andor season 2 footage at Star Wars Celebration, and you mean to tell me tomorrow is the day I will finally get to watch the season? I’m so ready for those 3 episodes tomorrow night. 🤗

The Nanowrimo shutdown is so disappointing as someone who learned to write a novel thanks to it. To have had such a wonderful legacy in the writing community and then squander it with that kind of mismanagement is such a sad thing to see, but at this point its for the best that it ends. 💔
