When I was a kid in the 80s my family used to deliver phone books to earn extra money. Carrying a stack of phone books back then was far different from a stack of phone books today.

We don't bother taking them down. We're very boring, no one is going to see anything interesting if they hack the camera. Also, if I hear a weird noise late at night it's nice being able to check the camera for reassurance without having to get out of bed.

We do in the public spaces (none in bedrooms/bathrooms) because we travel a lot and like to be able to check up on the house. They don't record other than a brief clip when motion is detected.

I live in Iowa surrounded by Republicans. What most people don't seem to get is that most Rs are convinced that even if Rs are bad Ds would be worse. Like, sure, $5 gas sucks, but Democrats will kill all puppies, ban bacon, AND raise gas to $8/gallon.

I'm American, and plenty of old houses have the washing machine in the kitchen, at least here in the Midwest. I've never known anyone who finds that disgusting, though. Not as if you're going to stack your dirty underwear on the kitchen table until laundry day. At least I hope not.

She did win their House seat in 2022. That was a state-wide election since they only have one House district. So technically that means she does have the potential to win a state-wide race. But, yeah, I don't trust polls either. I'm in Iowa and there's just no way Turek will win.
