I dunno for sure. But I do remember Candyman scared the hell out of me without me even seeing it. Just being told about it like it was a real urban legend. Also I was kinda scared of bees. But yeah scared me for weeks without even seeing it.

perspective I think they'd find it's not anti-Christian. As the demons are really just metaphors for humans. Heaven isn't evil it just did evil cause Sera isn't God. She's flawed. "every transgression must serve as lesson," "We fall, we repent, we survive." That seems pretty Christian to me.

Another ex-Christian here. Actually I think Sera's whole arc with struggling to redeem herself and particularly the songs Sera's Confession, and Live to Live are pretty Christian in their ethos. Certainly I think something Viv retained from her childhood. If you're not coming from an inflexible

and there's a total of 72 Goetia in the real life book they're drawn from. But on the other hand I think Bee's reaction to Andy's weird comments show we're not supposed to think of anything as incestous. So yeah it's probably like family = tribe (without the baggage that word can have).

Just looking at TV tropes People Zoo... Has two Twilight Zone, and and one Doctor Who episode beat it. L Frank Baum's Magical Monarch of Mo has civilized monkeys put a human in their zoo. On that note the novel Planet of the Apes was from 1963. Probably others predate Trek too.

I can't imagine Vox doesn't look at TV for Hellborn and want to market his product to Hellborn. But yeah if he's watching Heaven's TV he's for sure watching Hellborn stations. And of course we saw hints of some of that cross polination in the first season of Helluva.

Though the Goetia also seem to live in Pride or at least Stolas does, and of course the IMP crew does but not in Pentagram City. But it's pretty weird that Vox thought he owned Hell even with Lucifer captive. Maybe he just thought his canon would keep him safe from both the sins and Heaven.

I need to rewatch Snake-Eyes, but I liked it (could be that it was the only movie I saw inbetwen stints of lockdown which Vic here credits for being soft on it), but I thought it was cheesy but fun. What confused me was the number of people who didn't get why it pivoted away from a revenge story.
