just wanting to know i'm not alone in this... as a child i dealt with extreme fears of being massively misunderstood to the point of personal harm and now with the advent of current day internet that fear is just tenfold... i've come to realize it's been directly impacting my business as well.

folks with asd+ocd, im really curious... do you also feel a very strong and difficult to explain paranoia about posting anything for fear of being misinterpreted that goes beyond the standard fear of being misunderstood due to not knowing how to word stuff specifically due to your autism? 🥲💔

nothing i've ever made or done will ever be greater than this piece

dungeons and dragons tiefling (male) has a malformed head (warped by editing) and is turning over his shoulder. "ELDRITCH" is in the bottom left corner in bright yellow font. out of his crooked lips, echoes "BLAST" in multiple faded font coming toward the viewer.

the art is drawn crudely but with love.

there's like this assumption that "being as blunt as possible = quicker results" because they are "nipping the problem in the bud" so to speak... but it does not translate to a school setting or even a standardized practice... you only really see that on tv or in high-stakes competitions.

ugh same, whats worse is when the prof is blind to the mentality as well. becuase they think that they are above critique from their students, because they should "know more". i think another piece of the puzzle is just the entire atmosphere of critics in media and how people perceive them as well.

it's such a shame; see it all the time in the artist community too (even in colleges). that's why i hold the belief that critique as a skill is "learned" and not "inherently known". a lot of people tend to assume the viewpoint of critique from a consumer standpoint rather than a teaching one 1st. 😔
