Save 15% on our Mould Making kit which includes two tubs of silicone rubber and modelling clay. These tubs need to be mixed 1:1 to create the liquid that will form the new mould. Once both sides are created the new figures can be cast. #siliconerubber #wargaming shop.princeaugust.ie/mould-making...

Using modelling clay to form a base to embed the master figure and ingate and then put a wall of clay around the base to create a space to pour the silicone rubber into. There are indents made by a pen to make grips to connect to the opposite side.

Once you have made and cured the first half of the mould you can swop the master figure over to the blue side (and ingate it) and repeat the first step with the modelling clay walls again. Pour the remaining silicone rubber mixture to create the final half.

Once you have completed both sides you can remove the master figure and ingate and trim and clean up the mould. These can then be joined together with some support boards to prepare for casting new figures.

These show two figures cast from the silicone rubber mould that was created. They look the same as the master figure. Now they can be cleaned and polished and primed and painted. The figure is that of an ancient warrior.
