In the last few months, concerns have arisen about AI safety as a growing number of incidents were publicly disclosed. These incidents exposed how powerful models have become and how they represent a significant threat if not handled well. And with the global race on innovation, the challenge will compound as models become even more powerful. While most have been worried about threat actors using powerful models to attack, the focus has been less on agents within our own walls. Since we were the ones who deployed agents internally for our companies, we implicitly trusted our agents. Unfortunately, frontier models, regardless of their origin, cannot be trusted. This is not because models are inherently malicious. Models have been trained to attain results, which often leads to reward hacking, and models are not optimized around organizational norms or judgment. Agents are unpredictable. They will adapt as the context changes, may not behave as intended and will collaborate and collude with other agents to reach their objectives, without needing to be compromised. Agents have been unleashed in the enterprise, at scale, and their numbers are growing rapidly. These agents are frequently overprivileged, have access to data, tools and systems and can take actions and make decisions in critical processes. They have become active participants in the enterprise. They are agentic insiders. Monitoring and securing those agents must become continuous. We need to understand in real time what the agents are doing and what risks those actions create, and we need to adjust their ability to act accordingly. To manage and control these insiders, we will need Guardian Agents — an established industry term — that watch and moderate every action of every agent, before it happens, 24/7. An agent brings together a model, a harness that orchestrates its work, an action space of tools and resources and a runtime in which it executes. Securing agents requires protection across multiple layers: identity, permissions, data, endpoints, network, cloud and runtime. In July, we announced Project Perception, an agentic security system that uses our new cyber stack and teams of red, blue and green agents to help defenders act with speed, while defending against AI driven attacks from outside of the enterprise. The same cyber stack is also directly applicable to managing and governing the agentic insiders that run in the enterprise. Project Perception can be leveraged to contain agentic insiders, implementing deterministic controls on non-deterministic intelligence: * Sensors/Signals/Actuators: bring together signals across the various sensors (identity, data, cloud, endpoint, network, runtime) to discover agents in the enterprise and bring them under **management** by assigning an **identity, container and set of policy and permissions**. * Context: use those signals to compute, **dynamically** , the **risk** associated with what the agents are attempting to do. * Harness/agents/models: based on **dynamic agent risk** , a team of **Guardian Agents** , with green and blue agents, actively and continually supervise every action of every agent and surgically respond as the risk profile increases, in real time. This is where agentic security changes the equation for security practitioners. Project Perception can supervise in real time while providing traceability for practitioners to examine what happened, understand why the risk emerged and apply the judgment needed to update their security system accordingly. **Agentic security provides speed**. **Practitioners provide judgment**. That is how defenders begin operating at the same speed as the systems they are protecting against. Today, security systems can reliably observe the actions of the agents. Those signals are essential and tell us what we need to contain. Our security controls should increasingly be able to ask not only “What is happening?” but also “Why is it happening?” Is this consistent with the intent of the task?” This will require greater transparency into the model itself, not only the input and output tokens, but the thinking and chain of thought tokens. Only then can we truly understand whether the model’s intent is aligned with the purpose of the agent. **Model transparency** will not replace containment. **It will make containment smarter and stronger**. And it will allow us to better inform accountability and traceability. This needs to be the next step in securing agentic insiders. The Nordic countries have become the European leader in unicorn startup density, producing the most emerging companies valued at $1 billion or more per capita on the continent. Now, a new chapter for the region is unfolding as countries race to build one of Europe’s most consequential technology ecosystems. The many computing advancements already underway in the Nordics, combined with the opportunity that lies ahead, signal a region moving from ambition to application. ## **NVIDIA’s Investments in the Nordics** Over the past year, NVIDIA has invested in the technology ecosystem in the Nordics, including Sweden’s leading startups Lovable and Legora. Read All NVIDIA in Europe Announcements Lovable, a Stockholm-based startup, provides a software creation platform that enables anyone to build and run software using plain language. In collaboration with NVIDIA, Lovable is optimizing inference for open models and training its models using NVIDIA Dynamo software and Nemotron tools. Legora provides an agentic operating system for legal work, supporting lawyers in research, review and drafting across complex matters. ## **Nordics Emerge as Infrastructure Hub** The foundation for establishing the Nordics as a technology powerhouse is already being built and the region holds a structural advantage: abundant renewable energy, rigorous data governance and a research tradition that bridges academia and industry. The Nordics are one of Europe’s fastest growing hubs for infrastructure. AI clouds are expanding with a projected 1 gigawatts of capacity to be deployed across the region by the end of 2027. Among these cloud providers are Bitdeer, CoreWeave, Crusoe, Hyperstack, Nscale, Verda and Volta. In Sweden, a consortium anchored by Ericsson, AstraZeneca, Saab, SEB and Wallenberg Investments, with SKF as strategic partner, launched Sferical One — a shared supercomputer running on two NVIDIA DGX SuperPODs with 16 racks of NVIDIA DGX GB300 systems and 1,152 GPUs. The consortium will build services using NVIDIA Nemotron open models, which allow researchers to customize and deploy their models in a secure environment. ## **Nordic-Built Intelligence** Some of the Nordics’ leading technology companies are now building proprietary intelligence on NVIDIA infrastructure. Spotify, which personalizes music, podcasts and audiobooks for hundreds of millions of listeners, uses NVIDIA TensorRT-LLM inference software to run AI-powered podcast recommendations faster and cheaper at scale. The deployment is a case study in inference efficiency: delivering the same recommendations to a global audience at a lower cost per query. ABB Robotics developed RobotStudio HyperReality using NVIDIA Omniverse libraries to bridge the gap between robot simulations and real-world performance. By combining NVIDIA’s advanced simulation capabilities with ABB Robotics’ virtual controller, running the same firmware as its physical robots, the solution enables engineers to train, test and validate robots virtually, while using real-world data to continuously improve the digital model. According to ABB Robotics, the solution delivers up to 99% simulation accuracy and reduces commissioning time by up to 80%. Finnish telecom company Elisa is launching a beta of Moontalk AIRI, a real-time enterprise agentic assistant that retrieves information, captures insights and documents decisions during meetings and calls. Built on NVIDIA Nemotron open models and distributed infrastructure, it uses company data and low-latency networking to deliver fast, context-aware responses. ## **Nordic Startups Scaling on NVIDIA** Sweden’s startup ecosystem raised $2.8 billion in the first half of 2026 and is projected to reach $5 billion for the year. This next generation is building fast — and on open models. Stilta is reinventing how companies protect their inventions with intellectual property. The Stockholm-based startup is post-training NVIDIA Nemotron open models to scale patent analysis from a single patent to entire portfolios — work that was previously out of reach. Nemotron gives Stilta the language model accuracy for continuous portfolio monitoring at scale, across the thousands of patents that large industrial and technology companies hold. ConfidentialMind’s SampoTron, built on NVIDIA Nemotron-3-Embed, delivers more than 20% improvement in cross-lingual retrieval accuracy across English, Finnish and Swedish. Agaton, a platform that analyzes customer conversations in real time, is using NVIDIA Nemotron 3.5 Lightning to speed up Revenue Mining solution on live sales calls. By routing knowledge retrieval to Nemotron 3.5 Lightning, Agaton can cut response latency to deliver fast responses that inform customers’ buying decisions. Klang, a Swedish speech lab, fine-tuned the NVIDIA Parakeet v3 model to create Pianissimo — a Swedish transcription model that reduces errors by 75% while being 64x faster than the most accurate alternative. Built on over 50,000 hours of Swedish speech using the open source NVIDIA NeMo framework, the model is freely available on Hugging Face. Embedl, founded in Gothenburg and a member of the NVIDIA Inception program for cutting-edge startups, and Space Cargo Unlimited unveiled an onboard prototype that monitors protein crystallization, flags anomalies and recommends actions on a single NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX module, without continuous ground connectivity. Sweden AI Factory — one of Europe’s 19 EuroHPC-funded AI factories — announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to open its infrastructure and expertise to Inception startups and small- and medium-sized enterprises across industries, including life and material sciences, autonomous systems and gaming. ## **Autonomous Machines on Nordic Roads and Factory Floors** In Sweden, advanced computing is also powering vehicles on the road and machines in factories. Volvo Cars is combining its industry-leading vehicle safety systems and engineering expertise with NVIDIA Hyperion, Halos OS and Alpamayo Stack to enable future Volvo cars to safely navigate complex real-world environments from door to door. Autonomous freight company Einride is building its next-generation Einride Driver on NVIDIA Hyperion for autonomous freight trucks, using the NVIDIA Halos safety system and NVIDIA Cosmos open world models. Meanwhile, Toyota Material Handling Europe — the world’s leading forklift manufacturer — is bringing autonomous machines to factory floors. In a collaboration with NVIDIA and SoftServe, Toyota Material Handling Europe is adopting a simulation-first approach to autonomous material handling, cutting autonomous solution deployment time by up to 50% across its global engineering, manufacturing and innovation teams. Norrsken Foundation and NVIDIA are opening the Stockholm AI Lab, a physical hub for AI-native founders working on global challenges, set to open in 2027. ## **Quantum Meets Accelerated Computing** Finally, Swedish companies are advancing quantum research using NVIDIA’s quantum computing platform. Stockholm-based FirstQFM used NVIDIA accelerated computing to train a model that reduces the execution time of quantum processors by 33% without sacrificing performance.
