Happy to report that game production has been going smoothly, and now the player has a full animation controller! I’ll admit, a lot of the stuff here is heavily inspired by Metroid NES, but this is a game inspired by the NES style of games. Here’s hoping for the future! #GameDev #NES #Unity

I found a Game Jam that had an interesting theme, being to make games based on the NES era of development I don’t know if this game will be submitted, but I think it’ll be a fun experiment to do, hopefully make it a full game Admittedly, I may need to find an animator later on #GameDev #Unity #NES

Finished Metroid II once again. I had to use a map a couple of times as it got hard for me to find some of the Metroids. The game is a definite upgrade from the NES game, but there is no way for me to get the better endings unless I studied this game’s map more than I like to.

Continuing the Metroid adventure, I made it far enough to get the Varia Suit, along with getting High Jump this time, lmao So far, I still kinda prefer NES, but it’s probably because I know that game too well. Also I may be just bad at resource management… The journey continues tomorrow!

I finally finished Metroid properly. No save states, no rewind function, and finally seeing Samus without her armor Gotta say, besides one major issue I have with the game, I still genuinely love it so much. The enjoyment of getting faster and wiser with each play through is what I love so much!

Within a certain amount of time it takes to complete the game, a part of Samus’s armor will be removed to show who’s under the suit.

Another ending completed after beating the game first, where because of the ending I got, Samus plays without her armor.
