I feel conflicted about this. Everything's a remix. Nothing is unique. My game isn't. I feel proud if people compare CotS to Killer7! Iterating on someone elses ideas and giving it your own spin is a good thing! If a big company takes ideas from indies it feels weird though. They've done ot before.

it works, the new renderer is bug free! to catch folks up on the experiment, this is a zero polygon renderer which uses a heightmap raycaster similar to comanche. it's a single pass with terrain + n bookended pairs of layered geometry, so you can do overlaps.

「Children of the Sun」 Superb puzzle game. Liked it so much I plat'd it on my second session. Utilized its gimmick extremely well and had many fun additions as it went on. Immaculate atmosphere and presentation as well.
