A lot of people are trying to argue that Wilson is WNBA's biggest star, not Clark. I have no dog in the fight, but if star means most recognizable, it's Clark by about a mile. Trends alone doesn't determine this, but it does give some degree of a picture.

There was, of course, the emotional Cubs series, which saw the Sox win two of three, ending with Edgar Quero’s 10th inning walk-off, making Quero another of the “next guy steps up” stories while the team awaits the return of catcher Kyle Teel. Quero homered yesterday on his own bobblehead day.

Along the way, Davis Martin was emerging as an actual threat to win the AL Cy Young. Pitching hasn’t been a strong suit on the team, but it’s been “good enough,” aside from Martin, who currently is 8-1 with a 2.00 ERA and 0.99 WHIP.

Chicago won 2 of 3 from the As and 2 of 3 from the Angels. And the team was absolutely murdering the ball. Murakami was absolutely crushing, but Vargas and Montgomery were right there with him, and other players, like Chase Meidroth, were stepping up at the right times.
