"Lifetime PTSD" is an awkward phrase, but I'd amend that with Complex-PTSD. People with ADHD are four times more likely to develop PTSD¹, and women are twice as likely to develop PTSD². More awareness of all these factors should highlight the need for management programs, etc.

"The study pointed out that women with ADHD also had a higher prevalence of lifetime PTSD symptoms, and when accounting for this confounding factor, they noticed that although women with ADHD and without PTSD still had increased risks of having perimenopausal symptoms, not having PTSD reduced risks and symptom intensity."

Awareness of how estrogen increases ADHD symptoms is not just relevant for cis women, but extremely important for those transitioning as well!

"research shows that Estrogen plays a role in modulating ADHD symptoms. Women with ADHD are at higher risk for PMDD and other cycle-related issues in particular, because their ADHD symptoms become more intense and more difficult to manage when estrogen levels decrease.

During perimenopause, this is precisely what happens. This means that on top of dealing with "regular" perimenopausal symptoms and the related increased anxiety, women with ADHD also have to deal with more intense ADHD symptoms, which often also correlate with increased anxiety."

There are many non-genetic factors that affect women with ADHD in general. Simply being a woman/perceived as a woman in the patriarchy means lower socio-economic status and all the psychological impacts of this, incl. anxiety, depression, and so on. ADHD makes it worse.

"...anxiety and lower socio-economic status are known risk factors for perimenopausal symptoms. Women with ADHD match both of those conditions. Individuals with ADHD in general tend to have higher levels of anxiety than the general population, and to have a lower-socio economic status, or in general to have financial difficulties. It could simply be that the chronic stress caused by living with ADHD could be the sole cause of this increased risk of perimenopause in women with ADHD."

I've been playing the indie game Medieval Dynasty, a first-person medieval village survival/management rpg, but have focused on my weird little character, building his own story and taking too many screenshots. Eventually, I'm going to make an older version of him in another game. His name is Eggov.

Screenshot from linked article reads: Not only has that clause been in the Ubisoft EULA for a while, but the same sentiment can be found in EULAs you've agreed to before playing other games from an array of different studios. As highlighted by Amon274 on Reddit, the same clause can be found in the EULAs for various games on Steam, including Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Oblivion Remastered. A Phasmophobia dev also pointed to a similar clause in multiple agreements when the game was called out for the exact same thing two years ago.

Even your copies of Baldur's Gate 3 have got to go if Larian Studios ever deems it so.

One of Charcoal and Anastasia as kittens, and a picture of their mom, Sabrina. Within the span of a year, she's given birth to 3 litters, back to back. It's a looong story.
