Love protects. Love listens. Love waits. If we believe a girls should be protected from non-consensual genital cutting, shouldn’t that principle apply to boys too? Love doesn’t remove. Love protects.

Why is restoring something you were born with considered controversial, but removing it before you can consent isn't?

prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 03/10/2026
If consent matters, why perform an irreversible removal of healthy tissue on someone who can't consent? Why not let them decide later?

Ask first. Cut later. You can always choose circumcision later. You can’t reverse it.

The intact penis isn’t “different.” It’s normal. Maybe it’s time we stop treating normal anatomy like a problem.

If we truly love our children, we should think about the choices we’re making for them before they can make them for themselves.

You can’t undo circumcision. You can always choose it later. Let him grow up and make that decision for himself.

The smallest patients have the least ability to speak for themselves. That makes our responsibility to protect them greater... not smaller.

prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 13/09/2026
A healthy newborn doesn’t get to speak for himself. That makes the responsibility of doctors and parents even greater: provide the evidence, understand the risks, and protect his future choices.

If an elective procedure involves cutting healthy tissue, parents deserve to hear about the pain and risks... not just the supposed benefits.

prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 10/09/2026
Healthy tissue isn’t a defect. It doesn’t need to be “fixed.” Circumcision removes normal, functional tissue from a healthy baby. Let him keep what he was born with.

Labor Day is about honoring the rights of people who can speak for themselves. Infants can’t. Before we celebrate freedom, let’s ask why we routinely make permanent decisions about a child’s body that they can never undo. Protect bodily autonomy. Protect children.

For decades, parents were told circumcision’s benefits outweighed the risks. But what happens when the evidence changes? Parents deserve the full picture... not outdated talking points.

If a healthy baby has no medical need for circumcision, why is an irreversible surgery being presented as routine? Medical experts should put the child’s welfare first... not tradition, convenience, or financial incentives.
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 05/09/2026
If medical experts acknowledge that delaying circumcision allows a child to decide later, why rush an irreversible decision? Let him have a voice in his own body.

prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 04/09/2026
Why is an elective procedure being repeatedly presented to parents who never asked about it? When money changes hands for procedures, conflicts of interest can exist. That makes full, unbiased disclosure even more important. Parents deserve information, not persuasion.
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 03/09/2026
Why is circumcision repeatedly brought up to parents in the U.S. when it isn’t routinely promoted in much of the world? Parents deserve information... not pressure. And when money is involved, we have to ask: is this about the child’s interests, or the system’s interests?
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 01/09/2026
Would you consent to an irreversible procedure for your newborn if you later discovered the information you were given was incomplete or outdated? Parents deserve better. Full transparency. Current evidence. Genuine informed consent.

Think about this: If a healthy newborn has normal anatomy, normal function, and no medical problem, what exactly are we treating? Sometimes the most important medical decision is knowing when NOT to operate.

prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 28/08/2026
Imagine someone making an irreversible decision about your body before you were old enough to understand what was happening. You'd want the right to make that decision yourself. Give that same right to boys. Their bodies deserve their consent.

prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 27/08/2026
The AAP’s 2012 circumcision policy was explicitly marked as expired in 2017. So why are people still citing it as if it were current? Expired policies shouldn't be used to justify permanent decisions for newborns.
010
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 25/08/2026
Why create a medical problem that didn't exist in the first place? If a healthy boy can grow up intact without needing corrective surgery, why take an unnecessary risk before he can even speak? Protect his future.
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 24/08/2026
We would never remove healthy tissue from a child just because “that's how it's always been done.” So why make an exception for the most intimate part of his body? His body. His future. His choice.
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 23/08/2026
Before permanently altering a newborn's body, ask the uncomfortable question: Could the procedure itself create problems that require treatment later? A 2024 Journal of Pediatric Surgery study found penile problems were more common among circumcised boys
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 22/08/2026
If a procedure removes healthy tissue that can subsequently have research or commercial value, shouldn't parents be told? Especially when the patient is a newborn. Potential financial incentives + irreversible surgery + a non-consenting patient = a conflict-of-interest question worth asking.
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 21/08/2026
“Routine” doesn't mean “risk-free.” Before permanently altering a newborn's body, shouldn't we be asking whether the procedure is medically necessary for this child? Question the routine.

prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 19/08/2026
When tissue removed during infant circumcision has research, medical, or commercial value, it raises an important ethical question: Could financial incentives create a conflict between profit and an infant’s best interests?
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 18/08/2026
Imagine if every newborn procedure had to pass one simple test: “Would we still do this if there were no money involved?” If the answer makes you uncomfortable, maybe it's time to question why routine infant circumcision remains routine.
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 17/08/2026
No consent. No choice. Permanent surgery. Even Healthline acknowledges that performing genital surgery on newborns without agency or consent raises ethical questions. If the decision can wait, why not let the person who will live with the outcome make it? Leave him intact.
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 15/08/2026
If circumcision is supposed to be about health, why is there so much money attached to the procedure? Follow the money. Follow the incentives. Then ask whether a newborn really needs an irreversible surgery

If the foreskin has protective and sensory functions, why should a newborn have it removed before he can ever understand what he's losing?
010
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 11/08/2026
Before circumcising a healthy newborn, ask yourself: Would I make this same irreversible decision if he were standing here asking me to wait until he could decide for himself?
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 10/08/2026
Consent isn't something we should postpone until after an irreversible decision has already been made. Protect children. Preserve their choices. Leave circumcision until they can decide for themselves.
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 09/08/2026
A hospital is supposed to heal, not manufacture reasons to remove healthy tissue. Circumcision deserves scrutiny, informed consent, and evidence-based decision-making.

prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 07/08/2026
The default for healthy children should be simple: No irreversible surgery without a medical need. That's the standard every child deserves.
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 05/08/2026
The first promise we make to our children should be simple: Protect them. Don't alter them unless it's medically necessary. Their body. Their future. Their choice.

The real strings aren't attached to the child. They're attached to tradition, habit, and "that's how it's always been." Cut those strings... not healthy tissue.

Pizza is meant to be sliced. Healthy newborns aren't. Consent matters.

The foreskin is normal, healthy tissue. Removing it is permanent surgery, not routine maintenance. Informed consent should matter when the procedure isn't medically necessary.

Two developed countries. Two advanced healthcare systems. Two completely different conclusions on routine infant circumcision. Parents deserve to know why these recommendations differ before making an irreversible decision.

prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 28/07/2026
Medicine evolves. Evidence evolves. Around the world, many healthcare systems have concluded that routine newborn circumcision should not be standard practice. Every parent deserves balanced information, not just one perspective.

Shouldn't hospitals have to disclose that foreskin tissue may be used in research, biotechnology, or medical product development? Transparency matters.

One of the hardest things for anyone to question is something that was done to them before they could remember. Circumcision isn't just a medical debate, it's also a psychological one. Reconsidering a lifelong belief can be uncomfortable. That doesn't mean we shouldn't examine the evidence.

A newborn arrives perfect. Within hours, healthy, functional tissue can be permanently removed before they ever have a chance to say yes or no. Some choices should belong to the person who lives with them.

Imagine any other healthy body part being permanently removed from a child without medical necessity. Why is circumcision treated differently?
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 21/07/2026
Why does the United States continues to treat routine infant circumcision differently than most comparable countries? Permanent surgery deserves honest discussion... not assumptions, outdated information, or pressure.
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 20/07/2026
The AAP's 2012 circumcision policy expired in 2017 and has never been renewed. Yet many parents are still presented with information that traces back to that expired statement. When informed consent depends on current evidence, outdated policy should never be presented as current guidance.
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 19/07/2026
Circumcision isn't temporary. It isn't reversible. It permanently alters healthy anatomy. You only get one original body. The person who lives with that body should have the opportunity to decide for themselves whenever there's no urgent medical need.
000
prevailoverthesystem.com @prevailoverthesystem.com · 15/07/2026
Circumcision permanently removes healthy, functional tissue from someone too young to say yes or no. When a choice can't be reversed, it should belong to the person who lives with it. Bodily autonomy should apply to everyone.
