3 years ago today I had a gender-affirming hysterectomy! Thankfully no complications, one night in hospital then I got to go home on the afternoon of my birthday (Birthday Tea was NOT hospital food!) Healing went smoothly & I can wear white pants now without fear! (That's a lie, I have pets)

Pye the cat was being very sweet when I got home from work yesterday. I call him The Best Man because he's in his tuxedo and he's always up for making a speech! Thankfully I didn't need to use the stove for dinner last night because he loves making himself comfortable on flat quadrilateral surfaces!

Nessy turned 3 recently, then today she came up for a rare cuddle! She's very aloof with me and my mum but when guests come over she will clamber all over them! She thinks she's much smaller than she is!

Chatgpt struggles to say how many Rs are in STRAWBERRY and apparently I struggled with how many Rs are in TRANSFORM when I ordered these appliqués... Unlike chatgpt, at least I recognise and can laugh at my mistake and order a pink R!

Nessy & Russell, recently. (We adopted another dog!!!) (That was the name he was found with)

A peacock butterfly found itself trapped in the library today so my friend and I managed to catch it and let it safely out a window to freedom. I kept lifting the glass slightly to let air in and out so it would not suffocate in the glass and only stopped doing that to film this!

I keep getting adverts for tiny concrete recreations of brutalist buildings and can't help but be charmed by this tiny Elephant from my home town... When I was a toddler there was a soft play inside called Jungle Junction.

Some teenager yelled "FAGG*T" at me while I was walking past their bus stop and I mean like... Yeah??? And??? Well spotted, kid! Proceeded to prove them correct in the charity shops.

Last year's fireworks didn't seem to bother Nessy, but this year was different. Never seen her so unsettled, she was backwards a lot (very unusual for her). We're very lucky as her distress was nowhere near what Anna's dogs are like, but it was strange to see such a vivacious dog so unsettled.

Nessy, a black and brindle mastiff mix dog, perched awkwardly on a sofa. Her forepaws are up on the headrest of the sofa and she is facing the wall. There is a look of concern in her eyes.
