Was that a discone antenna?

An antenna consisting of a metal disk above a metal cone. The cone points upwards and is made of solid copper. There is a smaller, flat copper disk mounted horizontally, slightly above the tip of the cone. A metal rod extends from the mount through the point of the cone to the center of the disc.
