Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 08/05/2026Nail on head. It is also majorly infected with American style right wing propoganda on social media but fundamentally Labour needs to pursue a more radical agenda to counter this. 180
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 08/05/2026Will tvis just be for the giro or do you plan for it to cover other world tour races? Its a great idea btw 110
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 13/04/2026They will be trying to twist Figo's arm up his back or be traying to back channel some gas/oil deal with the Hungarians to keep blocking it or at least delay it as much as possible. 020
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 13/04/2026Im in the UK so thw BBC is obviously very prominent here. How is it generally viewed in the US these days. Since Trumo has tried to sue thwm has it became more popular? 110
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 13/04/2026He shouldnt need to bypass parliament. He has massive majority and will also have willing supporters from the SNP, Lib Dems and Greens. 0131
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 13/11/2025Haha. More of this. Force them to talk about the elephant in the room or squirm to try and justify why they don't. 0121
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 17/09/2025Also it looks a little like Farage may be close to his ceiling - Ed Davies just needs to get a bigger profile and the Lib Dems are well placed to massively gain traction. 030
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 17/09/2025Im a little surprised Angela Reynor has such high unfavorable polls. I know that there has been a campaign to destroy her recently but I always thought that she was quite popular in a way that her polling would be able to ride out her current issue. 130
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 10/09/2025This is great. The more defections that they get the more they look like the deplorable government that we just got rid of. They will never escape their catalogue of catastrophe 050
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 03/08/2025To be fair to BT sport they done a pretty good job as well but mainly as they had a team of Scottish football pundits who had a bit insight beyond the old firm. 001
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 08/07/2025I never realised this was an option. Not entirely sure what "Celtic" news blogs I would have left though if I started banishing them all for being click bait shite though 120
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 04/07/2025Can almost guarantee that there will be a surge of ICE raids in Democrat leaning areas of close elections in the mid terms. The whole structure is designed to capture power by any means necessary. It will be bare faced election tampering. 190
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 25/06/2025The rumour that I have heard is that Osman will sign in the 1st July as we have tio pay nore compensation if we do it before then and he is still under contract. Nygren is on holiday but will sign when officially and be there for the start if preseason, deal done just not officially announced. 000
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 19/06/2025Would be good to see this happen, for too long we have privatised profit and nationalised losses. investments can go up and down - these should be no different. 050
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 19/06/2025If the invasion stops it's a bit like the end of WW1 scenario for the Russians. Very dangerous situation for the Russian regime. 000
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 19/06/2025If the Ukraine war comes to an uneasy stalemate or frozen conflict a Belarusian annexation then becomes a convenient victory to celebrate. Realistically who is going to support Belarus to push back when all will be weary from Ukraine. They have no other meaningful allies to turn to. 400
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 19/06/2025Why did he want bit and probably all of Georgia, why is he questioning the sovereignty of the Baltic states, why is he proposing up the regime in Transnistria? It's all pretext for old fashioned imperialism. He has transitions ned to a war economy so what time do with that army once the war is over? 100
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 19/06/2025I see him as being in a bit of a bind. As soon as the Ukraine war ends, assuming Putin is still in power, he will be looking for some sort of victory. Annexing Belarus seems like the obvious target. What happens to Luka in that scenario - off ramp might be a more favourable route for him. 220
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 19/06/2025One of the rare times in politics where the right thing to do is just to sit on the fence or drag your feet on everything to do with this. Advocate for peace, deescalation and for aid to to get into Gaza is the only right thing to do here. There are no good guys or moral high ground on any side here 010
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 19/06/2025It would be interesting to see what his response would be if the West offered him and his cronies diplomatic immunity if he swaps sides and a golden handshake to flip sides on the basis that he facilities open elections allows NATO troops to secure Belarus and resigns. 110
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 17/06/2025For a country that's so full of guns it almost amazing that nobody seems to have pulled one out in these things. Especially since it's "supposedly" dangerous criminals that they claim to be targeting. 000
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 13/06/2025Have you got the the pointing with their thumb to emphasise a point during speeches one yet? That's another typical weird thing we get here as well although both left and right are guilty of it. Once you notice it, it becomes quite annoyingly hard not to get irritated by it. 000
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 13/06/2025Google Tory stance. It was a thing the British Conservative party had for a while. Was some sort of body language coaching going horribly wrong. 130
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 13/06/2025I genuinely don't think their leadership actually wants power. They want to perpetually campaign and complain. Grift and lien their pockets detached from any real consequence or responsibility. 020
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 13/06/2025At what point does this reach the level that it's considered a terrorist campaign and treated as such by the authorities. It wouldn't be tolerated anywhere else in the UK and shouldn't be in NI either. If the authorities don't take action the the people eventually will and that will be much worse. 000
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 06/06/2025You could apply this logic also to the SNP candidate. Their whole campaign seemed to be vote for us this is a two horse race with Reform in which they managed to come second and third. What actually is their offer to voters. An indy ref that won't come in the foreseeable, hardly enticing. 110
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 30/05/2025Unease is not justification for invasion and also what give Russia the right to mtry and dictate the foreign and security policies of other nations? All new NATO countries have joined to protect themselves specifically from Russian aggression. 000
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 30/05/2025Yeah it's became a thing for right wing political figures families to run interference on their behalf. Johnston had his dad and sister, Reece Mogg his sister, Trump his sons and so on. Never heard from family from the left except for Corbyns brother who is a liability. Funny that eh? 010
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 30/05/2025This is the key. We really need a psychological shift in this country where apprenticeship especially in STEM subject are viewed as equal to university. A work based learning model is also far more accessible financially and should be encouraged a lot more than it is. 010
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 29/05/2025I think its more to do with a changing media and news landscape. Before a story would break and the other side would shape a narrative to combat it and the papers would run this a day or two later. Now the counter punch has to be out on social media immediatly as we have an hourly news cycle 110
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 28/05/2025I work in education in the UK. Financially a lot of our universities are struggling. Foreign students basically pay to keep the show on the road. It's being quietly spoken about but there is definitely talk of poaching a lot of the US foreign student market & being able to change higher rates 080
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 21/05/2025Palace seems the real outlier here. Surely there's a bit of London rivalry there or am I missing something completely? 000
Reposted by MichaelsMarina Purkiss @marina-purkiss.bsky.social · 16/05/2025I was absolutely trembling when I spoke with Nick Ferrari this morning on @lbc… About Gary Lineker and Gaza One day, I promise you, we’ll all look back with regret That this was the debate, while a genocide was ongoing. 99696155
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 16/05/2025The whole deal is odd. I could be wrong but my understanding is there is no change on food standards but US can export a small amount of beef to UK now as long as it meets UK food standards. Also there is questions on whether it's an actual trade deal legally or effectively just an MoU at this point 110
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 16/05/2025I agree it's not simple but joing the single SM/CU will bring a lot of the benefits and do a lot of the legwork for rejoin, without the political backlash. It also plants a pretty big flag on the pro-EU camp although I don't really buy into the premise of the UK having to choose a side between EU/US 210
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 16/05/2025It's the path of least resistance. Rejoin n the single market and customs union- to rejoin the EU probably need either a referendum or it to be explicitly on an election manifesto. If we are back in the SM + CU it's a much quicker and easier process for full rejoin afterwards. 170
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 15/05/2025Break out star award. Had to be under 21, and can only qualify if it's their first season that they have made more than 12 appearances. 000
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 15/05/2025Hopefully we can also agree access to EU/Swiss passport gates at airports again and reciprocate for Europeans coming here. The current set up is beneficial to nobody and an easy win for both sides. 010
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 12/05/2025Tennis I think works portrait as most of the players movement is lateral which would be more difficult to follow in landscape unless it was a complete top down view of the court. 020
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 11/05/2025If Russia collapses which I think might need to happen for them to stop, ideally it is broken into smaller countries which can be reformed i to stable democracies. Independent Sibera, Chechnya, etc with large scale de-nuclearisation 110
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 08/05/2025The rumours that seem to be floating about suggest that the EU deal should be quite significant, so hopefully true. But the smart thing to do is to try and get a good deal with the EU and with the US. As much as I detest their current government we need to remember Trump is temporary. 011
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 08/05/2025Is 19th of May not the date for an EU trade deal to get announced. Will wait to see details before passing judgement in this. 100
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 07/05/2025The water companies only have one customer who fortunately Ian in the postie na of setting the tekes of contracts and regulation. Just write into any contract that they can't pay any dividends until infrastructure is fixed, debts paid otherwise let them fold and just pick up the pieces. 000
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 06/05/2025I'm agreeing with your point that we shouldn't deplatform them by that their level of coverage should be more equitable to their size. 000
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 06/05/2025It's not a question of the greens and Aldo the Lib Dems is not about deplatforming but about equitable coverage. Reform are still electorally a minor party in comparison to the Lib Dems but get drastically more coverage. Fundamentally that is not right. 110
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 02/05/2025That was an absolute cracker. Probably the best since the year they done similar and tennants had a whited out sponsor logo. Think it was maybe a Nike top at the time. 010
Michaels @prestigeoususer.bsky.social · 02/05/2025Agree 100%. Reform also seems to float by getting little critical analysis - they have little coherent policy platform and need challenged aggressively on this as well as their ties to Russia and Trump. They do well when they dictate the narrative but tend to crumble when put in the back foot 000
