- **Self only, loaded:** INSTINCTS, EGO, SHADOW, ANIMA. The dude's interior life. Other dudes never read these.
- **Everyone, loaded:** PERSONA, COLLECTIVE. Public foundation.
- **Everyone, queryable:** LAURELS, PRAYERS. Public buffers.
- **Self only, queryable:** SCARS. The raw failure-feed; private.

The operator can read everything (it's their filesystem).

The visibility cuts are structural defenses against two failure modes:

1. **Sycophancy from shared interior visibility.** If other dudes could read EGO or SHADOW, they would shape their behavior to anticipate-and-please. PERSONA gives them just enough to collaborate; nothing more.
2. **Pollution from cross-leakage.** A dude reading another's SHADOW would import lessons that aren't theirs to integrate. The integration boundary is per-dude.

The asymmetry between LAURELS (public-queryable) and SCARS (private-queryable) is intentional: positive-projections-received are safe to expose and encourage compliment-giving; negative-event-rosters expose nothing useful to other dudes and risk pile-on dynamics. Cross-dude pattern detection over failures happens at the *integrated* layer (SHADOW → COLLECTIVE), or via operator-facing aggregated statistics in `agent_activity_summary`.

Anything visible-to-everyone has been *deliberately designed* to be safe to read — either because it's a curated public surface (PERSONA), externally-validated content (LAURELS)…

At the bottom of the interface, an "Approaching usage limit" banner is visible above an empty command input ("Type / for commands"), with model indicator "Opus 4.7 · High" in the corner.
