going on vacation as a freelancer feels like being a dog having the best day of its life not knowing it’s getting put down in three hours

these places deserve funding and attention; they're based so deeply in care, so please please, support them, it's so easy, like you get to watch a movie, read a book, and you're literally helping people ><

100

a | [needs to get their glasses fixed........] @present-mic.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

libraries also provide literal life saving services for people without housing, and are an epicenter of a bunch of support services for communities in crisis. just walking into my local branch there's *always* community work on display, resources for people who need them put front and center, etc.

a | [needs to get their glasses fixed........] @present-mic.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

I also just got my county library card so now i have more library access annnd new titles on hoopla/libby/kanopy (some of them you have to switch libraries to access, but in libby you can see multiple pretty easy :])

100

a | [needs to get their glasses fixed........] @present-mic.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

it's also, like, surprisingly fast to sign up? it took so long to renew my card from when I was uhhhh 10 (???) but once i did i was like... oh... that was really ... easy.....

100

a | [needs to get their glasses fixed........] @present-mic.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

use free library streaming services like hoopla! look at this! look what they have rn!! i don't care if you ~have it elsewhere~ check these first- you could be supporting free public services by watching anime movies instead of big streaming companies (& help fund the library catalogue too >:])

Apollo has quite the first day of investigation. Luckily, or unluckily, he's got a client for a real case! Not too soon after, he even meets the prosecutor, unbeknownst to him.

The president has used a loophole in the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to get away with mass warrantless surveillance of Americans — and this week Congress will vote on whether to expand this power. Tell Congress to vote NO at 833-946-2258.
