> be mexican pizza maker > start a mexican pizza store > have a good recipe > still working on the execution > ppl start to come to the store > everyone's asking for Big Macs > add some burgers and fries to the menu bc ppl keep asking > everyone critiques the fries > just want to make mexican pizza

it would be great if wafflegate prompts groups to set up their own atproto infra bc they don't trust the team to moderate anymore. a win-win

8896

prerat @prer.at · 03/10/2025

bsky team keeps talking about decentralization and everyone zones out like it's math class then everyone gets mad about centralized moderation decisions

1281

prerat @prer.at · 11/06/2025

wait bsky app is now way faster than twitter when i click into a thread it opens immediately instead of spinning for a second wow

0250

prerat @prer.at · 13/01/2025

that's my secret cap ... ive always been decentralized

070

prerat @prer.at · 10/11/2024

thread composer is nice but imo the correct way to write threads is one tweet at a time submitting as you go

i will make my own discourse then. it is pickleball vs tennis. the battle lines are drawn and they are either 78'x36' or 44'x20'

1301

prerat @prer.at · 13/06/2024

i guess there's no likes tab here either but it's the principle of it

my theory of why gifs are cringe has to do with the gif keyboard. by making gifs effortless it removes the interestingness signal and makes gifposting lame. since bluesky only supports gif keyboard gifs rn, that means 100% of gifs on bluesky are lame. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

1121

prerat @prer.at · 22/05/2024

i heard there is gif support???????

At first the bluesky was designed as a.. perfect website.. the feeds didn't glitch out.. every post was funny & high effort.. there was no inscrutable drama or 'main character's it was a disaster. which is why the bluesky was redesigned to this.. 2012 twitter.. the peak of your civilization

my dream is that threads somehow decides to federate on AT protocol instead of ActivityPub, and then twitter eventually has to do it too in order to survive, and then substack follows along i guess (optional), and then we are back into a single feed
