I did an update to TubeReplacer, my youtube fix for iOS 5-10. You can now play videos in HD quality, use the YouTube 2.0.0 app, have it contribute to your history, and more! The update is available on my Cydia repo, cydia.preloading.dev

Two iPhone 4S devices, left on YT version 1.3.0 (?), right on YT version 2.0.0. They are both showing the video 'This video is different at 360p', with them both showing 1080p in the player.

Something I noticed, YouTube seems to have converted some short ish videos from a while ago (this case 2010), to YouTube Shorts videos. Also means you can't play it in fullscreen.

Power here is being a bit finicky due to a storm, so things like everything I host (a twitter bridge) may go down. Also my PDS (bluesky self hosted server), I have no idea how bsky handles a down PDS, so hopefully it doesn't kill me.

someone on the fediverse made a post that made me think. yeah Apple could totally and should be forced into "unlocking the bootloader" on any device where the latest kernel is already exploitable with a known, unfixed bug. sign an LLB/iBoot that displays an unlock warning and then boots whatever

Oh god, apple is on a spree preventing the restoring (unsigning) of: iPad mini wifi + cellular iPad 2 CDMA iPhone 5C iPhone 5 This means if your phone runs into any problem, or you want to reset it... you can't (at least using the official software). They are actively doing this which is uhhhhh.

I personally think at least for alt-text, you should be able to edit forever, so you can add alt-text to older posts for accessibility. Maybe 10 minutes for editing, but that's based off of nothing so. I personally want editing so I can add alt-text to past posts, and fixing silly typos or errors.

In my personal experience, I've found incredibly legitimately obtained Ida pro to be better at objective c, but that could also just be me being bad at Ghidra. (Ghidra only shows objc_msgSend instead of the "correct syntax")

Yeah, I think. My school uses a piece of software which runs a web application in a "secure" mode where you can't alt tab for example. The website somehow has to determine if you're in that mode. Maybe you could figure out how it does, and recreate it. But there are probably ways to prevent that idk

They can, but that seems rather tough. My school uses a system to put a web browser in a kind of locked state, where you can't do anything outside of the page you're on. If it was open source, could you not just disable those checks?

I feel like this could be an issue if for example, the testing environment was OSS. Anyways, I don't see this happening until workplaces only use OSS, since edu is trying to prep you for the future, which has proprietary stuff like Windows.

In the case of a controller, this seems like a bad idea You buy one for yourself and a second player controller if anyone comes over. If you accidentally slam the controller face first and it breaks, you would want to buy a new one.

Settings > Moderation > Muted words and tags. This lets you hide posts with specific words in them, including words from those posts. Could also switch to the following only feed if you need to guarantee it gone.
