I came across the movie Pig by accident. It’s as if someone crossed Manchester by the Sea with John Wick and added in Ratatouille. There are scenes that will simply take your breath away. youtube.com/watch?v=gH6v...

Imagine the full throated, GOP outrage if this national security fuck-up happened during the Biden administration. Hypocrisy and incompetence are deadly cocktails served by the Trump WH.

Apparently, cutting FAA staffing and budget is not ideal. It is apparent that Pete Buttigieg was holding the whole aviation thing together with MacGyver ingenuity and duct tape over the last 4 years.

Looks like tomorrow will bring votes on a Republican plan to fund tax cuts for the rich by slashing Medicaid. So this is a great time to contact your Member of Congress.

This is a fascinating and thought provoking article. With so many modern medicines that were derived from flora and fauna, it is high time that humans return the favor and save plants and animals whose habitats are under threat as we may likely need them for our survival down the line.

The United States Military Academy has just eliminated all Cadet clubs and activities for POC. Most of these have existed for decades like the Society of Black Engineers. They were there when I was a Cadet in 1987. All of the religious ones remain. This isn’t DEI. It’s white Christian Nationalism.

A memo listing all of the clubs eliminated by USMA.

With Trump's manufactured & idiotic trade wars with Canada and Mexico, the dangerous & inhumane shutdown of USAID, and Elon running amuck with scissors & cosplaying the shadow President, watching Tiny Desk on @npr.org is a much needed mental health therapy and hot chicken soup for the soul.

On this wintry Monday, as the chaos & destruction officially commence with the fox guarding the hen house of democracy, it is more important than ever to steadfastly hold true to our core values & conscientiously practice self-care in mind & body for the long, dystopian darkness of the next 4 years.

It’s truly remarkable that South Korea, a young democracy that was still under military, strongman chokehold just 37 years ago, can resolutely protect its democracy, while the United States, the world’s longest continuous democracy, reelected an insurrectionist to 4 more years as its President.

My parenting advice to my children: If you ever kill anyone (yes, that’s bad and don’t do it), I need to be your first and last phone call. My daughter’s corollary: If we call mom, she’ll notify the police. There is more than one way to show love.

People are so starved for a modern-day, Robinhood-type hero that they have collectively concocted a coherent through-line in their heads between the victim Brian Thompson and the suspect Luigi Mangione. The inevitable disappointment will soon set in when the inconvenient truth comes out.

I know artificial intelligence is all the hype and interest today with its seemingly limitless potential and remarkable benefits. However, everyone should watch Ex Machina. Besides brilliant performance by the entire cast, the timely story presents a cautionary tale on sentinel AI and human hubris.
