Tuesday marked 365 days since I said good bye my best friend. I didn't think I would know how to exist without her and honestly, part of me still doesn't. However, tonight I looked around my home, it's full of love, her crazy siblings, my marriage is healthy, and I stayed sober. She would be proud.

I think I have slept more in the last four days than I have in the last five years. Started on heavy-duty antibiotics and steroids this afternoon that can start working at literally any point now and begin kicking this infections ass. I'd like to be amongst the living again!
