In our latest study, we found that patients with both giant cell arteritis and diabetes had significantly higher mortality than those with either condition alone. Our findings suggest that comorbidities may provide important prognostic information beyond the inflammatory disease alone.

Laparoscopic surgery is generally believed to have a lower risk of adverse pregnancy and birth outcomes than open surgery. However, in our new study of women with IBD who had undergone abdominal surgery, we found no difference in outcomes based on surgery approach 👉 academic.oup.com/ecco-jcc/adv...
