She never left his side. When he was in pain she would put her paw on his hand. I think it was her way of letting him know she was there without causing pain. The part animals play when their person has cancer is huge. They are so gentle, no questions just love.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful Scott. Today I will hug his buddies Gracie and Tilda a little harder. I will make spaghetti just like I have done every year on his day as requested. I will know how lucky I was that I got to be his mom. And I will pray they find a cure for cancer. I miss him💔

2 years ago I told my son I loved him and kissed him goodbye. I dont know why I turned around cupped his face in my hands and said it again as I left the hospital. He smiled and said it too. 12 hrs later he died. I am struggling to after burying both my boys 13 months apart. Fuck Cancer.

Took Matilda out for a long long walk north western Il. Went through some fields and down a trail. Certain she smelled everything. 3 hours later she is sound asleep and I have an apple pie baking. Our favorite kind of day
