Hey man of science with your perfect rules of measure, can you improve this place with the data that you gather?

Did Ciccone not know where the line was? His bike throw was AFTER the finish! He had that if he throws his bike at the right time.

Guess that sign is now out of date... The playground was also a nice cut through if you didn't want to go up and down the hill on the corner on bike or foot.

Unfortunately, between rufo, choe, rantz, and brandi we've really become an incubator of nonsense the last 5-10 years.

Seems del toro and seixas were too fixated on each other. Looked like both thought the other was the main contender in the race. They should have figured out that wasn't true the last 50-60k. (We saw this error with del toro's fixation on carapaz in the giro last year)

They should have remembered, as he just finished 4th the week before in the TT. Van der poel mentioned that he knew McNulty was dangerous.

We were watching a few hundred meters before the final climb, on a pretty fast section. With about 4 laps to go a rider from the main lead group perfectly slid a bottle to a 6 year old next to us. I was impressed that that deep into the race, at a critical time they were able to pick out that kid!

The amount of cyclists was frankly astounding. And not just at/near the venue/course. There were sooo many cyclists everywhere! Montreal is doing a lot of things right, and most of the USA's supposedly "bike-y" cities (looking at your Portland and Seattle) have a lot of emulate from Montreal.

Forgot one: McNulty was strong, is a great TTist, and is really good on this course.

It wasn't a great idea for France to do the amount of work they did for him. Put even more pressure on him. It was fine and obvious to make him the leader, but they didn't have to try to boss the race the way they did. Then they left him isolated when it actually mattered.

Pidcock, who attacked, caused a split and then sat up and looked around?

USA raced flawlessly. USA was understandably not a popular winner at our corner of the course, but the USA nailed the tactics today. So impressed with them and McNulty.

We were on the climb too, and only getting delayed info. French rider is 45 secs up starting the climb. Then we see Vollering alone and a decimated field! What happened?!?!? Puck Pieterse happened.

We got so much pushback from local real estate agents trying to sell our CT house after switching to solar and a heat pump (with oil furnace as backup (only used a few times a winter)). The solar covered our entire electric bill for the year! It's crazy how many homes heat with oil in 2026!

I used to think he didn't believe most of the things he says, and it was all just a weird show. Now I think he honestly believes most of it, and it's scary what a child-like understanding of the world he has.

This is a confusing reply about a rider who has finished 2nd and 3rd in the two GTs he has raced (one of which he should have won, but for weird tactics, and the other was behind his own teammate). I don't know how you could say Del Toro isn't GT ready. He's already there!

That's Gordon's point. Businesses succeed and fail all the time. Thats the nature of business. And it usually has little to do with the local government.

I get the intention, but unfortunately there really is not a comparable, parallel route. You have to have more stops and likely more hills. LWB has been a staple route for road cycling for decades and it would likely be hard to convince many riders to go a different way.

I worry that would be really confusing for users, and lead to an increase in crashes/injuries.

This might work if the city stopped increasing job capacity. But I'm guessing that would have a lot more negative consequences that this fellow would not like.

Thanks! The signage (or lack of) is really confusing, and the very narrow entry at the western end makes me even more confused. I wasn't sure if the sharrows were just left over from the old street design or not.

Unfortunately not surprising, considering a substantial portion of US society seems to have forgotten (or doesn't care) that a president incited a mob to storm the capital and stop an election result. And not only did he face no consequences, but somehow people elected him back into office!!!!

Unrelately question Lynn: Are bikes supposed to go in the Sound-side protected path on this stretch? Or are bikes supposed to stay in the one lane street? I ride this way a fair bit, and I'm alway confused if I'm where I'm supposed to be.

Don't we want our leaders to admit mistakes and be actively trying to fix them?

She didn't "support" him. She forced him to resign. She didn't hire him, but let me stay on to see how it went. It went badly and she acted decisively in getting rid of him. How is that bad leadership?

That's been debunked over and over. They are a small fraction of the market. We just need to build a lot more housing in highly desirable areas.

US child vaccination rates have plunged since before the pandemic, with kindergarten classrooms in more than 70% of counties now lacking herd immunity against measles.
