This was probably one of the strangest nutrition findings I came across. I was surprised that adding carbs from Oreos had such a big effect on LDL in someone following keto. It made me wonder how much the type of diet itself affects cholesterol levels. @konsyse.com @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I looked into the keto diet and found it interesting how cutting carbs so much can change the way the body uses energy. It made me wonder if keto is actually sustainable long-term or if most people eventually go back to their usual eating habits. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I found this interesting because I didn’t realize sustainability had been part of the Dietary Guidelines discussion for so long. It also makes me wonder how different factors can influence nutrition recommendations over time.@waiterich.bsky.social @beh353.bsky.social#beh353

One thing that surprised me was learning that the Dietary Guidelines are meant for the population as a whole, not to create one perfect diet for every person. I found that interesting because nutrition needs can vary so much from person to person. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I found this interesting because it shows how nutrition and food choices can also be connected to where our food comes from and the information available to consumers. I think knowing more about our food can help us make more informed choices. @marionnestle.bsky.social @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

My 24-hour recall was fairly accurate, but it was harder than I expected because I had to remember small things like butter and sauces. Seeing it on paper surprised me because I noticed I ate a good mix of vegetables, fruit, beans, and lentils. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I found this really interesting because I didn’t realize that trans fats naturally found in dairy could be different from the trans fats we usually hear about. It makes me curious about how different types of fats can affect our health. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

It's interesting how I learned this week that Protein does more than build muscle! Our bodies also use protein to make enzymes, hormones, and antibodies. I think it’s interesting how one nutrient can play so many different roles in our health. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This post stood out because it shows that nutrition is connected to more than individual food choices. Government policies and the food industry can impact what people eat. It also shows how access and affordability influence healthy eating. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

One thing that stood out to me is how easily research findings can be misunderstood or misrepresented. I’ll pay more attention to the original research and evidence behind nutrition claims instead of relying only on headlines. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I’m a Medical & Molecular Biology major with a Business minor, class of 27. I’m taking this course to better understand nutrition and health. I’m curious about how diet affects long-term health. Healthy eating = balance. My favorite food is an Indian dish called Dosa! @beh353 #beh353
