Definitely not, too messy. Shadow prefers to eat coffee beans straight with a spoon, he's very dignified.

Heads up, got a pretty obvious hack attempt on my BSky. Keep an eye out.

Me and the wife are playing Villainous. I have chosen @mastertp10.bsky.social as my villain. If I lose I'm hacking his channel and forcing him to make countdowns with me.

This mf really did show up, introduce alternate endings for Kingdom Hearts, got voiced by a Sprouse and we STILL know absolutely nothing about this guy after this many years

It's worse for Dragon Ball of course, it's exclusively telling a story and isn't also leaning on gameplay to make these transformations hit harder. But everyone's always talking about Super Saiyan 2, and I know people sort of erroneously named Super Sonic 2 after it, but like It really does fit

Which means I have seen mid transformation, after mid transformation, after mid transformation, after mid transformation, and I HAVE to tell you guys Some of the coolest looking transformations have turned out to just be nothing.

Excalibur Sonic, for as cool looking as he is and for the most BADASS transformation sequence...IS just Super Sonic with sword. None of these transformations were mid by any means but they weren't particularly strong in their own stories. and I'm also a Dragon Ball fan.

Like I remember when the fanbase went NUTS over "Dark Sonic" from Sonic X, and I'm sorry but...what a nothing transformation. A slightly darkened, angry Sonic who's upset that Tails might have been severely hurt (iirc) and it lasts all of 30 seconds because EGGMAN snaps him out of it.

Sonic has always had the added benefit of being a "Games, comma, video" so a transformation in the franchise doesn't have to narratively mean anything as long as it provides the player some extra power. Like Super Sonic really doesn't matter to the story of any games until Sonic Adventure.
