Oxfam GB | Chancellor John Healey: Tax wealth now

We need as many people as possible to agree with putting in place more ways to increase funding rather than making cuts and essentially punishing those who are already suffering. Tax the Rich – Wealth Tax Now www.oxfam.org.uk/get-involved...

I'd say so. There's been some bloody horrible ones since.

I can't donate blood or sperm and shouldn't drive or operate heavy machinery. So no change there then...

I just happen to be listening to the 1966 Mothers demos as we speak.

I'm officially "immuno-compromised"!

I've just had my flu jab this morning, but I know that the COVID one will zonk me out for forty-eight hours, so I've scheduled that for a couple of weeks time when I don't have any other pressing engagements.

Pausing a documentary about The Yardbirds so that I can pop across the road for my flu jab. 😷💉

Annoying cliché line from every whodunnit ever:- "I just spoke to him yesterday, how can he be dead?"

With the show having got this far, they throw in a couple of the long-running and, by now, tedious government/alien conspiracies, then go back to the FAR more enjoyable 'monster mystery' stand-alone episodes as if nothing had happened. I guess that's what happens when they have multiple writers.

A couple of times during last night's #XFiles episode, Mulder himself says "I just want this to be over..." I think I know what he means!

Oh! to chart a course amid the piffle how they utter...

Pretty much how I've always "composed". I even used to cut up actual tape! It's a bit easier nowadays, of course!

Reminds me of something I did with The Trojan Lawyer in the late eighties.

If we're talking '90s folk-rock gigs, this was the guy for me. Sadly no longer with us. youtu.be/CGnPzIvify0?...

This Is the Night

This one's definitely late period, isn't it?

I enjoy all manner of folk-rock (the soundtrack to a lot of my '90s), but I'm probably right in thinking that they may not be for me...

Seems like I would prefer the early stuff too, if BC's what they ended up sounding like!?!

I meant that on paper they sound like something I WOULD find appealing, but I've never given them the time of day.

With you both one hundred percent on Dexys and Proclaimers, but Van and ISB have been known to get me tingling.

I seem to recall I caught a bit of their set at a festival and didn't stay for long, but it was probably just the wrong thing at the wrong time. There was probably a Garifuna nose-flute ensemble or Sicilian prog band playing on another stage that I'd have much preferred.
