LOCAL ORGANIZING AND ADVOCACY IS STOPPING THE PROPOSED MVP BOOST PROJECT AND SWANN COMPRESSOR STATION PLANNED FOR ELLISTON, VIRGINIA.

NO AMOUNT OF COMMERCIAL JARGON, GAS INDUSTRY FANTASY PR. OR DATA CENTER AND A I BUBBLE HYPE FROM EQT EXECUTIVES AND LOBBYISTS WILL CHANGE THE FACT THAT A 136, 900HP FRACKED GAS COMPRESSOR STATION - WHICH WOULD HEIGHTEN THE DANGER OF THE RUINOUS, POLLUTING, AND CRIMINAL MOUNTAIN VALLEY PIPELINE - IS FUNDAMENTALLY INCOMPATIBLE WITH ENSURING THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF RESIDENTS OF EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY. "Therefore, effective immediately, DEQ will stop processing the air permit application for the MVP Boost Project. If you provide documentation, either directly, or through Montgomery County for DEQ to consider that appears to satisfy all of the requirements in S10.1-1307 E of the Code of Virginia, you may resubmit the air permit application for consideration Should this be the case. DEQ's processing timelines will restart from the beginning of the process.

Citing problems identified by Montgomery County, VA residents and local organizers, represented in a December 2025 resolution from the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors (and a conflict with county site suitability issues) DEQ has put the permitting process on hold.
"Based on the foregoing information, including the apparent contradiction between the Forms dated October 27, 2025, and the December 15. 2025, BOS resolution, DEQ does not have sufficient information to consider 1) the character and degree of injury to, or interference with, safety, health, or the reasonable use of property which is caused or threatened to be caused; 2) the social and economic value of the activity involved and 3) the suitability of the activity to the area in which it IS located."

As we celebrate Juneteenth, here's some good news.
“The permitting process for Mountain Valley Pipeline’s planned compressor station has ground to a halt because of a discrepancy between a form Montgomery County submitted and a
resolution the Board of Supervisors passed last year.”

An army veteran, a disabled educator/farmer, an apple grower, a small business owner and indigenous leaders enlist in the battle against a massive gas pipeline that cuts through their community in the mountains of Appalachia. They are joined by neighbors near and far in a showdown against a shadowy corporation and some of the nation’s most powerful politicians. Among those are citizens from West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina, including many of you and your friends and neighbors who all came together to resist the Mountain Valley Pipeline.

Executive Produced by Award-Winning Actor & Director Don Cheadle and the Solutions Project, the Equation Campaign and Fossil Free Media and Produced by Tikkun Olam Productions.

Pre-show social begins at 6:00 PM and the film starts at 7PM, with a short discussion to follow featuring filmmakers and special guests from the front lines in the fight against the Mountain Valley Pipeline and MVP Southgate.
