I can try to help, can you identify what you struggle with specifically? Do you struggle to write melodies, to find the proper accompaniment for the melody, or do you struggle to get the sounds you want ? When I'm stuck I like to study a piece of music that inspires me by trying to recreate it...

Partially agree. Twitter has always been very confrontational, and it's gotten worse under musk's ownership especially with the far right bots and engagement farming, but you will definitely find people starting pointless arguments for free on blue sky as well lol. Still better than twitter tho

I'm trying to do that as well ! I feel like it's definitely more "common" to randomly get recommended to people, I've had ok numbers there, that's also why I'm trying to create nice visualizers and thumbnails, but it definitely adds to the load of creating and releasing music, and is still random

Yes, that's the conclusion I've reached as well. It feels like COVID lockdown kind of marked the end of an era in terms of interest in chiptunes. Which is a shame because I think there's still a quantity of incredible music being made and innovation happening in the scene !!!
