Fascinated by this Gulf Fritillary. Native plants constantly invite new friends for us to meet.

The spots on the wing were iridescent and reflective but only at certain angles.

The orange and grey coloring closely matches a late season Black-Eyed Susan, whose orange leaves are spotted with grey as they wilt.
