In retrospect, maybe the beach wasn't the best place to visit without some more preparations #VGen Link: vgen.co/challenge/ju... #MonsterGirl #OCArt

(1 of 2) Art trade set with my homie Voidtech I drew some of their humanoid characters, and in exchange she helped design the big fluffy monster form for my lycanthrope OC. As much as I love my kemonomimi girls, sometimes the creature needs to be a creature

2020-2025 archive batch - second to last one! With Art Fight coming up, I wanted to get these posted now so I can start shifting toward newer work again. This batch is from a fun era of experimenting, learning, and slowly pushing past my comfort zone.

This was from a time where I was really practicing that painterly, no-line style and trying to see how much form I could get across without relying on my usual sketchy outlines. #archiveart #oldart #digitalart #illustration #characterart #originalcharacter #ocart #bear

A cozy space elf by a starry window, commissioned as a little gift for someone from my stream community.

Starting off the archive arc with a little collection of ye olde posts from around 2010-2020. Some of these are tiny baby artist fossils, some are just neat to look back on, and all of them are being tossed lovingly onto the archive shelf before I move into the newer 2020-2025 pieces individually.

Chapy x Arathea; having a soft little moment together. Since it is Pride month, this one gets to escape the archive pile sooner rather than later. Two characters being sweet and cozy together with some nuzzling, a ritual even ancient beings can partake in from time to time.

Dusting off one of my D&D characters for the upcoming artfight This is Arathea, one of my older characters. I still really like the dress concept here and how they work with her being. A little appetizer/introductions before I introduce the rest of my pieces with her {Tags}

Another one dusted off from the archives My lycanthrope blood hunter from an old D&D campaign getting some well-earned care after a rough stretch of character development. Big ol' dog. Big ol' bath. Much-needed coddling. #DnDArt #FantasyArt #OCArt #CharacterArt

Found some old footage from years past among a few other pieces which will be shared while I work through the archive. This is from a time where I was hooked on Toram Online and made my in game coin through art commissions. Painting hair like this was very cathartic.

stream setup work continues in the background, which means most of what I’m doing is deeply uninteresting to look at so here is a small piece instead The shadow lady seemed more postable than browser sources and file organization

REDRAW OLD ART. Progress is weird because your eye and your hand do not level up at the same speed. Sometimes seeing what looks wrong is proof that your eye improved first. So redraw old art now and then. It is one of the clearest ways to see the invisible progress stacking.

PotetoBear @potetobear.bsky.social · 04/05/2026

Animation is as hard as I am :) :( No better way to improve than to do, but I'm not sure if I should avoid passion projects and do something that allows me to post more often I need to figure out how other content creators do it

Some #animation practice for my lycanthrope blood hunter. Never got to finish it as my computer blew up on me, but I was able to dig this one out from the server I'm in so it might get back into it.

Sometimes it's better to redraw a piece than keep trying to endlessly fix the wrong version of it. Not always, obviously. Sometimes the healthier call is to finish the thing and move on. But this was one of those times. #DigitalArt #ArtProcess #BeforeAndAfter #FantasyArt

after a lot of behind-the-scenes work my site is officially opening and commissions are soft launching too I may have overdone the icons, but here have a little fairy version of the bluesky icon #fantasyart #digitalart #artistsonbluesky #originalcharacter

A stylized fantasy fairy inspired by the Bluesky butterfly icon, with glowing blue wings and a dark silhouette body.

Deep in the forest, the world goes quiet. Wings can be shelter. But why do these wings feel like a cage? | #VGen | #ArtChallenge | #FantasyArt | #DarkFantasy | Tried something a little different for March's #VgenChallenge, tried to replicate multiple art styles.

A large stone angel statue with outstretched wings looms over a misty pine forest. Above its head floats a glowing halo with a single open eye at its center. Two cherubs on either side blow trumpets beneath red draped curtains. A small human figure stands below, dwarfed by the angel’s hands reaching toward them through the fog.

There may or may not be teeth hiding within the sleeves
