Hungry Bone Syndrome sounds like something a child would make up to get out of PE.
Hungry bone syndrome is a term used to describe the hypocalcaemia (often severe and symptomatic) that can follow the treatment of conditions in which hypercalcae-mia has been associated with increased bone resorption.
With parathyroid adenomas and in hypercalcaemic thyrotoxicosis, prolonged suppression of normal PTH production may contribute to the hypocalcaemia. Hungry bone syndrome should be anticipated and should be preventable by the provision of vitamin D and calcium before and after sur-gery; this is also the treatment if the condition does

Hadji Ephraim Benguiat and members of his family—probably his wife, Rebecca, and daughter Luna—pose for a photograph during Sukkot, ca. 1875. They stand by the sukkah at their home in Smyrna, modern-day Izmir. Via the Jewish Museum.
Hadji holds a lulav (a palm branch bound with sprigs of myrtle and willow) and an etrog (citron fruit) in his hands, both ceremonial objects associated with the holiday. The Benguiats were observant Jews in a port city with a robust multiethnic population.

Sukkot (Das Laubhütten-Fest) Moritz David Oppenheim, 1867. Via the Jewish Museum. Chag sameach!
A family celebrates Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, commemorating the dwellings of the Israelites during their wanderings in the desert. The sukkah, or booth, is usually decorated with fruit and foliage appropriate for the autumn harvest.
While father presides, raising his wine glass for the blessing, his wife and beautiful daughter gaze adoringly at the baby. Outside the sukkah, an attractive maid carries a tureen of steaming soup that amusingly catches the cat's attention. Two Christian schoolboys watch the celebration with ardent curiosity.

From ‘The Intermediate Sex’ (1908).
"I have had for some time past a theory about this
'Homogenic' business-I do not suppose it is new-but it is that when man reaches a certain stage of development and
approaches the totality of Human Nature,
there gets to exist in him, though subordinately at first, a female element as well as a male. That is to say that as he passes the various barriers, he passes the barrier of sex too, on his way to become the complete Human-the Universal."

bitchiest possible way to describe a saint
Jerome showed more zeal and interest in the ascetic ideal than in abstract speculation. He lived as an ascetic for 4~5 years in the Syrian desert, and later near Bethlehem for 34 years. The historian Peter Heather describes him as an
"appalling self-publicist" who "jumped on the ascetic bandwagon". (53]
The Church of England honours Jerome with a commemoration on 30 September (54]

Leather doll, UK, 1830s. Each foot has a nail through it, used to attach her to a stand. Ref B.2:1-2001, V & A Museum.
This pedlar doll was made around 1830-1840 in England. It was probably produced by C.H. White of Milton, near Portsmouth, as he was one of the few commerical producers of dolls such as this. However, the original stand is missing making it difficult to identify.

The doll is wearing a cream-coloured outfit with a bright red cape. Her head is made from kid leather and has stitched-in facial features to make her look more lifelike. Her basket of wares feature treasures such as gloves, necklaces, scissors, playing cards, balls, and bellows, among other items.

"You may have seen recent media coverage indicating that the ACT Party intends to campaign on ending targeted Māori and Pacific admission pathways into medical programmes..." Email everyone in a health professional programme at Otago got this morning.
You may have seen recent media coverage indicating that the ACT Party intends to campaign on ending targeted Māori and Pacific admission pathways into medical programmes at the University of Otago and the University of Auckland.

We recognise that this coverage may be unsettling and hurtful for members of our University community—particularly our Māori and Pacific students, staff, applicants, whānau and communities.

The University is seeking the release of the Ministry of Health report referred to in the media so that its findings, and the evidence informing them, can be considered openly and carefully. It is important to be clear that all applicants to the University of Otago’s MB ChB programme must meet the same academic threshold to be eligible for admission, irrespective of the admission category or pathway through which they apply. Targeted admission pathways do not lower or waive this threshold.

Once admitted, every medical student completes the same programme, is assessed against the same academic, clinical and professional standards, and must demonstrate the same graduate outcomes.

The evidence supporting targeted admission pathways is well established. These pathways help address the longstanding under-representation of Māori and Pacific peoples within the medical workforce and contribute to a health workforce that better reflects and responds to the communities it serves. This is essential to delivering equitable, culturally safe and responsive healthcare and improving health outcomes across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Claims that targeted admission pathways lower standards or compromise the quality of medical graduates are not supported by the evidence. Our analysis of student progression and graduate outcomes provides no evidence of declining graduate quality. All graduates must meet the standards required by the University and the relevant professional and accreditation bodies.

This is a children's play about Jesus, who as I understand it is some kind of car. I am not familiar with the New Testament, when did they sell him???
Girl: In the Fourth Stage, the lovely car is brought into the showroom for sale.
Boy: Now the Fifth Stage is to understand what a car is for. A car is not just beautiful to look at, its true purpose is to get inside and drive to wherever you want.

Is this normal Christian theology or theology from the Cars universe, what do you MEAN driving the car makes it alive like Jesus
The Fifth stage is called The Resurrection. Here Gd raises Jesus alive again so that his spirit can live in us. This is just like the fifth stage of how to make a car. Only when we get inside a car and drive in it then the car becomes alive and we can feel how wonderful the car is.

"Now that party's distrust of the electoral system and the popular will has surfaced again, with National leader Christopher Luxon dismissing the coalition-building that underpins MMP." NZF is sending emails calling Luxon a threat to our democracy, this is not a joke
It is not widely appreciated that Winston Peters played a critical role in bringing electoral reform into the political mainstream.

It was his championing of the Royal Commission on Electoral Reform report of 1986 that directly led to the National Party making its 1990 campaign promise to let New Zealanders decide.

And New Zealanders did decide, by referenda in 1992 and 1993, to adopt the MMP (Mixed Member Proportional) system over the existing FPP (First Past the Post) system.

This was despite both National and Labour actively campaigning against reform and even adding 20 extra list MPs in an attempt to reduce its attraction.

The Royal Commission also noted that the Māori electorate seats would no longer be required under MMP, as all parties would ensure Māori representation within their parliamentary teams.

Winston's arguments in the late 1980s still resonate today. MMP lead to a fairer electoral system, produced a more representative Parliament, and generally stopped a single governing party from imposing radical policies without a popular mandate.

The National Party has never genuinely accepted the popular will. Former Prime Minister John Key tested the electorate again in 2011 by asking whether New Zealanders wanted to keep MMP. Again, New Zealanders overwhelmingly voted "yes".

Now that party's distrust of the electoral system and the popular will has surfaced again, with National leader Christopher Luxon dismissing the coalition-building that underpins MMP. He wants a Cabinet solely composed of National MPs.

“Alarm One, for example, a California-based home-security company, was sued in 2006 by a saleswoman for subjecting her to […] motivational spankings. In Provo, Utah, a supervisor subjected an employee to waterboarding as part of a "motivational exercise." From Barbara Ehrenreich’s ‘Smile or Die.’
Not all the motivational methods applied to salespeople feature rewards and incentives. In a workplace environment where employees have few if any rights, some companies resort to motivating their salespeople in ways that are cruel or even kinky. Alarm One, for example, a California-based home-security company, was sued in 2006 by a saleswoman for subjecting her to what could be called motivational spankings. The spankings, usually administered with the metal yard signs of competing companies, were meant to spur competition between teams of salespersons. As one salesman testified, "Basically, you'd get up in front of the room, put your hands on the wall, bend over, and get hit with the sign." Other punishments for underperforming salespersons included having eggs broken on their heads or whipped cream sprayed on their faces and being forced to wear diapers. (Since both men and women were subjected to them, the spankings did not qualify as sexual harassment, and the woman lost her suit.)
An even more disturbing case comes from Prosper Inc. in Provo, Utah, where in May 2007supervisor subjected an employee to waterboarding as part of a "motivational exercise." The employee, who had volunteered for the experience without knowing what was involved, was taken outside, told to lie down with his head pointed downhill, and held in place by fellow employees while the supervisor poured water into his nose and mouth.
"You saw how hard Chad fought for air right there," the supervisor reportedly told the sales team. "I want you to go back inside and fight that hard to make sales."l While insisting that the company does not condone torture, Prosper management has had nothing to say about this supervisor's more routine motivational practices, like drawing mustaches on employees' faces and making them work standing up all day. Oddly enough, Prosper is itself in the business of selling
"motivation" to other companies.
