Very enjoyable puzzle, just right for a Monday. 18a is a neat spot.

Well clearly the trick is to find a photo of a penguin with its egg to guarantee both a Liari and a CS solve. Paste in a cat watching with interest and you have your insurance policy for the Replacement Service if needed.

D'you know - to my shame, I had forgotten who Longitude is (stupidly) and, as I was patiently assembling the very good but very tricky WP, I was trying to recall with whom I had had similar challenges. And then remembered it was you. A really cracking puzzle. Chapeau.

It is also somewhat of a compliment to mycrossword.co.uk that so many of these setters found their compiling feet on that site. The sad thing about that list is how many Indy setters are on it.

Extremely sad about this, not just as occasional setter but as regular solver. I have barely missed a puzzle in recent years.

Puddles Pity Party has an unusual niche on YouTube. Generally covers, normally rock numbers, slowed down and pretty well sung. He has an incredible voice. Did some powerful Black Sabbath covers if IIRC.

Will - I don't know how long you've been setting - I know you're newish to MyC. My advice - steer well clear not just of indirect anagrams but of wherever you found that abysmal clue. Amazing to be able to include three gaffes in just 7 words.
