Wenn man das anders sähe, wäre dann aber auch der US-Angriff legitim: Das Selbstverteidigungsrecht umfasst bekanntermaßen die gemeinsame, kollektive Selbstverteidigung mit anderen Staaten. M. a.W.: Entweder handeln beide Staaten völkerrechtswidrig oder aber keiner von beiden.

Nun wird kaum ein ernstzunehmender Völkerrechtler behaupten, dass mit Blick auf den israelischen Angriff die Voraussetzungen eines Selbstverteidigungsrechts nach Art. 51 UN-Charta (gegenwärtiger oder unmittelbar (!) drohender Angriff) als Ausnahme vom völkerrechtlichen Gewaltverbot vorgelegen habe.

Der Autor will uns weismachen, der US-Angriff sei zwar völkerrechtlich problematisch, weil ein Angriff Irans nicht unmittelbar bevorgestanden habe, bei Israel sehe die Sache dagegen anders aus, da der Iran mit der Auslöschung Israels gedroht und Israel in der Vergangenheit angegriffen habe.
