We’re in for a hot few days. To help you cool down, weekend crews set up temporary cooling stations in @portlandgov.bsky.social parks. Visit one to fill up your reusable bottles and enjoy a refreshing mist. The stations are active 24/7 starting today, Aug. 10 until at least Tues. morning.

Right now is a good time to shovel your sidewalks! We have a break in the precipitation, but more is on the way. It's a lot easier to shovel snow before it freezes.

Water pipes can freeze or burst when temps drop. Act now to keep your water flowing and your pipes from freezing or breaking: - Locate your water shutoff valve now in case of breaks - Cover outdoor spigots - Let a slight drip run from faucets

Water pipes can freeze or break when low temperatures hit. Save yourself from a headache and cleanup now: 1. Find your emergency water shutoff valve now in case pipes burst. (They’re usually in your basement, garage, crawl space or under your home.)
