I'll stake my guess on spell scroll. I'm guessing that the restriction still applies after being set aside by Blockcade. The effect of Sailor would have to activate, so the restriction still applies. Spell scroll puts it into play in the middle of resolving its own effect, bypassing the restriction

I mostly agree, but I kinda think that a pseudo turn skip is an unfun end state of a combo, if not an unfair one. Idk maybe I'm just salty about getting back to back venusmon'd by an adventure player at a regional side note, yeah sakuyamon should not be able to do that valdur arm line holy shit

Great write up! I definitely agree that floodgate rookies are easily outable, which makes them a lot more interactive The floodgates in the game I don't like are usually the ones attached to high level boss monsters, like valdur arm or bt20 RP fighter mode
