Nah its just a stupid game about War... Definitely can't make me cry... (It did)

Porky Plays @porkyplays.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

The blood I have doesn't feel like it has a home anymore. I think it's why I invest my time into other hobbies like dnd and gaming, pushing escapism to the max. Apologies for the doom and gloom. But even emotionally secure rocks like me tumble down a waterfall sometimes 😅

Going home isn't an option for me. The "Home" I had is scattered into 5 human-shaped shards of emotion. Unfortunately, my family aren't the best when it comes to sharing emotions but I'm lucky to have some friends who are my chosen family. And as much as I love my friends, they aren't blood.

For context my parents separated in spirit 15 ish years ago, but they physically separated 8 ish years ago. My brothers have had medical and other issues, I've been fortunate enough that my issues have just been financial. But, thinking on "I want to go home", started to get to me.

I had a mental breakdown yesterday. I heard a kid in a school crying and saying they wanted to go home and I thought back to how I felt when I was in that situation (many years ago) and it got me thinking. Back to how life was 10, 15, 20 years ago.

DnD difficulty I’m having is that I don’t think I’ll ever create the wonder and awe of my DMs first campaign. I’m only seeing my campaign from behind the screen but damn I want this to be good SOOO bad 😂

This is one game I am happy to see the back of... While the initial run was fun, I have a bigger issue with these Hyper-realistic Story Games.

Every day the question "Am I a good person?" is something I ask myself more and more. Anxiety is a bitch.

Wrapping paper is either thicker than the tree it was made from, or thinner than my patience.... I have decided that I hate wrapping presents. Too thick to handle or thin enough it rips. It's only due to the fact that the ray of sunshine I love likes to unwrap presents, so I still do it 😂

I’m at that point where I’m just in the hamster wheel watching show after show because everyone’s too busy to meet up 😅 Feel like I need to learn a new skill to pass the time. But, classes cost money and let’s not go there 😂 new games are coming soon though, so at least I’ve got that.

Aziraphale and Crowley sat back to back in the bookshop

Aziraphale and Crowley dancing rather close~

An assortment of Aziraphale and Crowley stickers with different exaggerated expressions

Rue hunched over crying on Aziraphale’s shoulder while he appears concerned and unsure of what to do. The caption reads “Yesterday, I dreamt that I cried on Aziraphale’s shoulder because he was so pretty… It was quite pathetic really.”

If I ever went into politics, one thing I would push for is the restrictions on gambling advertisement. It’s too colourful, too inviting, and it’s wrong. I’d give it the whole cigarette treatment. Bland, basic, just the information and that’s it. I’m sick of it being advertised like a game.

I feel like the hardest part about cutting someone off, is the build up. Potentially knowing that you may never speak to this person again, someone who has been a big part of your life. For me, that’s a 30 year time.. It’s daunting, but it may need to be done.

People: I love the people in my life and everyone is a big help, but it’s not on anyone else to fix my problems or to loft me up. Older generations tell me they had it worse, younger generations have a small world compared to where they will be by my age. And I’m his sick of it!

I have all of these hobbies and interests but I feel like they’re getting shot down as fast as I get excited to do them. I’m not content with just getting by, I want to progress and do something with life.

Future: I see no tangible future for me where I succeed. I feel like I’m drowning every day and I no matter how hard I fight I can’t seem to do better. People say ‘just do this & that’ but it’s so much easier in theory. I’m fighting, but I’m just tired.

Medical: Went to the doctors because of an issue with my tailbone. I was arguing with the doctor about how it was hard to sit down for long periods of time. But it’s okay, apparently I’m overweight and it’ll go away. Why do I have to fight for this shit? It hurts to SIT… 4 months & I still have it

Money: I can’t even afford to go on holiday, I might have to cancel a big event I was excited for. Because I unfortunately had a bunch of finances happen at the same time. And now, I find out that I might start getting taxed because I decided not to have a kid. Thanks UK governments

A digital drawing of an open silver heart shaped locket in front of a red fluffy plaid blanket background. In the left hand opening there is a picture of a fluffy grey and white tabby cat curled up asleep on top of the same red plaid blanket as the background. In the right hand opening there is a picture of a cat paw in-print on a clay background.
