The Machine Born From Death. Nyx's medical convoy was caught in the crossfire, and dozens were dead and injured as battle lines collapsed. Relief efforts never "went south". For something to go south it had to be good in the first place. Hell opened up, but something else emerged.

Nyx, battered and bloodied looks off screen towards a rush of energy/fire in a mix of shock and horror as her body is bathed in wearing red light.
