Any director crazy enough to put Krypto in a "serious" superhero movie, and somehow convince Hollywood executives that it's a good idea? I have to give this man his proper respect. I don’t know who wrote this, but it’s absolutely perfect

• X-Men is about civil rights. If you didn't get that, you didn't get X-Men.
• Black Panther is about civil rights. If you didn't get that, you didn't get
Black Panther.
• Captain America literally fought the Nazis. He is the embodiment of fighting the alt-right. If you didn't get that, you didn't get Captain America.
• The Empire in Star Wars is fascist. The Rebel alliance is Anti-Fascist. If you didn't get that, you didn't get Star Wars.
• The Punisher isn't meant to be a role model for police or armed forces.
So much so that the writers of The Punisher made him actively speak out against it in a comic. If you didn't get that, you didn't get The Punisher.
• Deadpool is queer. He's pansexual. Fact. If you didn't get that you didn't get Deadpool.
• Star Trek is about equality for all genders, races, and sexualities. As early as the mid-60s it was taking a pro-choice stance and defending women's right to choose. One of its clearest themes is accepting different cultures and appearances

Do people remember Frank Frazetta? A very popular fantasy artist who did book covers, album covers, as well as a few movie posters. If you read an old school Conan novel it was probably his artwork on the cover. #art #fantasyart #FrankFrazetta #bookcoverart

Aw yeah, Rom Spacekight! A toy so cool that even jaded Star Wars kids liked it. Well, not really. Rom became the cult B-movie of toys over the years. The most successful facet of Rom was the 6 year 79 issue run from Marvel, from 1979 to 1986. #art #toys #retrotoys #vintagetoys #RomSpaceknight #comic

Not as old as what I usually post, but 41 years old still counts as vintage. The soundtrack album cover to the 1982 movie Liquid Sky. I found going thru my albums for the first time in years. And it's perhaps the most 80s thing I've seen in years. #art #albumcoverart #80smusic #underground #80s

A cool vintage movie poster for the 1973 supernatural horror movie Messiah of Evil. It just drips with early 70s B movie charm and attitude.
