Late evening library dash to collect two reservations I've been waiting for in high anticipation for some time.

Two books - The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones, and Everyone Still Here by Liadan Ní Chuinn

#IWTV props auction continues to surface all sorts of gems (albeit unintentional, I'm sure!) From the lot with Claudia's diaries and entry pages (vm.tiktok.com/ZNRuuSx7r/) a close-up of another doc shows detail and attention to detail for her vampire search vs geographical accuracy. This show! 🤩

It was a nice Rings of Power reunion too, with Peter Mullan mentioning that they were already friends from "the Lord of the Rings thing, where Rob played a Tory Elf" 😂 Forgive the blurry photos, the cinema had crap low lighting, but forewarned is FOREARMed (hello Elrond! 😏)

I SWEAR is so good! Great mix of hilarious and emotional. Robert Aramayo gives an absolutely brilliant performance (his Scottish accent is spot on!), with Peter Mullan, Maxine Peale and Scott Ellis Watson (younger John) fab too. Great Q&A incl the real John Davidson after.

Actors Peter Mullan and Robert Aramayo, writer/director Kirk Jones, journalist Alastair Harkness, Tourettes activist John Davidson, standing in front of Screen 1 in the Cameo, Edinburgh

Kicked off Edinburgh Fringe with new Hannah Moscovitch play RED LIKE FRUIT at the Trav. Really great, interrogating sexual assault and sexual harm and personal perceptions thereof. Challenges the audience, makes them subtly complicit - you're asked what you feel/believe, and why.

Playscript of RED LIKE FRUIT, written by Hannah Moscovitch. Front cover is actor Michelle Monteith, her mouth open in a silent scream

It's heeeeere!! #TheRingsOfPower lives! I love when we get a wee peek at making off/BTS stuff. S3 production has felt quiet so far, all behind closed doors, so good to know they're cooking!

I know they'll add more, and I was too casual about checking, but still seems wild that the first 70mm BFI IMAX screenings for The Odyssey are already sold out. OVER A YEAR IN ADVANCE! 😆

Was interested to see what Jonathan Anderson was going to do at Dior, wasn't expecting a (no doubt eye-wateringly expensive) Dracula tote! The vampire renaissance is going high end

Tickets secured for The People Speak @edbookfest.bsky.social - gonna be in the same room as Viggo Mortensen this August 😍 (Not to mention icon Vanessa Redgrave too!) But ngl, it's my decades long Aragorn love that's most thrilled today!

Interview With The Vampire cathedrals everywhere, for those with eyes to see... The morning sun was casting weird shapes and light through the tops of my curtains earlier, felt quite of a piece with yesterday's imagery! #iwtv

Congrats to Michelle Lim Davidson and Marg Downey for their Logie noms, and #TheNewsreader overall for Best Drama, but it's crazy to get no nominations for Leads (altho Anna Torv got a nom for Territory, which seems to be dominating) Sam Reid went to incredible places in that role!

Matthew Santos (producer, singer, performer) who's working with Daniel Hart and Sam Reid on #iwtv music/songs this season, posted this from Toronto (that's the word cut off at the start) - he's promising us a BONKERS season! He seems genuinely psyched for it - adding to my hype levels!

This cast... 🥹 I was obsessed with Hamilton back in the day, and the way I can still name everyone in this photo ten years later! Very excited for the OBC reunion performance at the Tony's tomorrow #HamilTEN

Insane queues and crowds to get to La Joconde (or not, most people don't get close - so many shit photos being taken!) while Armand to be is just chilling in the corner. Actually made it easy to take my silly photos, no one was paying any attention!

Had to be done...😇 Adoration of the Shepherds with a Donor (Vecchio), aka Arun and the Holy Family And my battered copy of #iwtv, being a dork in the Louvre Mad that it's up high in the corner, ignored by the madness around the Mona Lisa across the room (pic in next post)

Inside you there are two wolves... Getting my conclave updates on lowest volume, while listening to #TheRingsOfPower cinematographer Alex Disenhof in conversation with ARRI. Love all the technical chat!

I'd made a library reservation for Conclave MONTHS ago, the queue was understandably long cos of the film. Felt gloriously timely to have finally gotten my copy on the same day the actual Conclave starts (the reservation queue behind me is even longer now!) #conclave

I'm going in... #IWTV #InterviewWithTheVampire Loved the show without any book knowledge, but also love immersing myself in the wider thinking and discussions. Wanted to read DRACULA first, which I've finished and really liked (CARMILLA too!). Preparing myself for a very different book now...
