All set up and staged for tomorrow out in LA, and we got a chance to have a lovely dinner with Kiso along the way. I SHOULD be exhausted, by all rights, but I'm more wired than anything else, hah. Can't wait to see all the ponies and handlers tomorrow!

Pretty high for the tail mount, but that may just be the style. Honestly looks like it's sitting pretty well like that, especially if it's more decorative than functional. ^^

Might be worth trying the belt at an angle, higher in the back and lower in the front. Not sure how much adjustment is built into it.

I think the backplate design of it is making it feel that way, yeah. This harness having the oversized collar plus the lowered backplate plus the thick belt means those three pieces are going to push close together, especially if you're not a combination of tall and very slender.

Yep. Honestly, it looks like the tail belt was sitting more naturally positioned in the first picture you posted over casual clothes; it doesn't look like it was riding down the same way there.

Especially if you're planning to pull anything with it. Having the belt that far down will absolutely have the load and strain on the wrong parts of the body. Centering it just above the hips makes it much easier, takes advantage of the way humans walk and the combination of gravity and lean.

Ahhh. Okay. So, with the caveat that all gear is going to be different, I would absolutely think that's too low. As a general rule of thumb gear is designed such that the tail attachment should be at about the base of your spine, and more importantly the belt should be at your natural waist.

Mnnn... it's worth a try. I think you'll find that they will still droop towards the inside unless you put them tight enough that they're hard to keep there for extended periods. Your mileage may vary.

Can we get a clearer picture of where the tail harness and belt sits? The way the mirror cuts off the bottom makes it hard to tell.

So. This is an issue that many, if not most pony harnesses run into for people. It's amplified for people with larger thighs that taper from larger at the top to smaller at the bottom. What's really necessary is a secondary retaining strap to keep them in place. (Or possibly two for this design)

Hey all! It has been a busy, busy time for me. Last weekend was Folsom, and in addition to being a part of the Cavalcade, we also were a part of the yearly titleholder introductions. It was great to be around so many other like-minded leather folks with an eye towards service. <3

Oh, cool! Well, I'll definitely be there, considering I'll be doing step-down and hanging off the sash. =P We also usually try to get the DC herd to come up as a field trip to support our community, so you'll get to meet a lot of ponies if you do come out!

(That said, if we're ever in the same place at the same time, I'd love to get some more professional photography done if interested. I don't have a lot of pictures of me I actually particularly enjoy, heh...)

There are usually extra carts, if you coordinate with some of the other ponies coming ahead of time... O:3

I hope you get the chance! I honestly don't have much of an idea what to expect. I've heard the stories and seen the pictures, but I suspect that doesn't truly capture the fullness of it, hah.
