Line by line. Thousands and thousands of lines, one at a time, and sometimes going over them more than once. Or twice. I am already on my 5th revision pass. This one is the most detailed, and therefore tedious. But I enjoy pain.

I think the difference for me is AI writing - write me this scene - and AI editing - tell me what is wrong with this scene. For example, I wrote a scene in an Atlanta airport concourse with big windows showing the planes outside. IRL that concourse is underground. Oops.
