I’ve been alternating between living in Newfoundland and Quebec for the last few years. Nothing has ever worked out or felt permanent. My husband took a 3 month contract in British Columbia on a whim and it finally feels like we’re at home.

I’ve been up since 4am, my mom called to tell me she’s been diagnosed with endometriosis. We don’t know how bad it is yet and she’ll have to wait a very long time to see a specialist. Things feel very heavy at the moment. I have a meeting today and I’m all out of spoons.

Finished the barnacle rock. I used a granulating paint for the rock, so instead of going for accuracy, I just let the pigments settle where they wanted. #art #painting #watercolor

Some good beach finds yesterday. Barnacles and maybe a limpet in the second photo? I’ve never seen them before. Also had clams squirting all around me. Felt like I was crouched in a water fountain!
