In an upset in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Connie Dodson flipped a red school board seat, defeating incumbent E'lena Ashley by a wide margin. "I really think they were looking for change, someone more interested in pursuing common sense solutions to the problems that we have at TPS and getting our achievement levels up, getting kids to their goals," Dodson said."Tonight, the people of Wisconsin stood up for our rights and freedoms, our democracy, our elections and a strong state Supreme Court that will protect the independence of our beloved state," Taylor told a packed room of supporters at the Madison Concourse Hotel. "Once again, Wisconsin showed the entire nation that we believe that the people should be at the center of government and the priority of our judiciary."Alicia Halvensleben flipped a conservative mayor seat in Wisconsin. "It is a conservative area, but I was confident the voters of Waukesha would choose the person who was going to put them first," Halvensleben said.

Sample Email Part 2. My concerns include: Free speech: chills First Amendment rights. Amendment 2: expanded too far. Bail denial: allows holding people without bail. Vague language: key terms are undefined. Unintended consequences: impacts Oklahomans across the political spectrum. What problem does HB3581 solve that current law does not already address? Can you point to specific incidents where existing laws were inadequate? This bill goes too far. I respectfully urge you to vote NO on HB3581. Sincerely, [Your Name], [Your City], OK, [Your Phone/Email]

Take action. It’s time to call AND email committee members before the 2pm hearing. Remember: be respectful, brief, and specific: “Vote NO on HB3581.” Here is the contact information for the Committee Chair, Vice Chair, and Representatives: Rep. Rande Worthen (R): CHAIR, District 64 (Lawton), Phone: (405) 557-7398, Email: rande.worthen@okhouse.gov. Rep. Erick Harris (R): VICE CHAIR, District 39 (Edmond), Phone: (405) 557-7342, Email: erick.harris@okhouse.gov. (continued on next slide)Take Action. Representative contact information continued from the last slide. Rep. Amanda Clinton (D), District 71 (Tulsa), Phone: (405) 557-7361, Email: amanda.clinton@okhouse.gov. Rep. Robert Manger (R), District 101 (Oklahoma City), Phone: (405) 557-7395, Email: robert.manger@okhouse.gov. Rep. Jim Olsen (R), Phone: (405) 557-7315, Email: jim.olsen@okhouse.gov.What to say (script). If you reach the office: “Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m calling from [CITY]. I’m calling to urge Representative [NAME] to vote NO on HB3581.” Choose 2–3 points: 1. Free speech / chilling effect: “This will chill First Amendment rights. Peaceful people could face 2–10 years in prison for being present when someone else damages property.” 2. Amendment 2 expanded too far: “Amendment 2 expanded property damage from government property to ANY building or structure. That goes way beyond the original bill.” 3. Bail denial: “This bill allows bail denial even for non-violent allegations like traffic obstruction. People could sit in jail for months before trial and lose everything.” 4. Vague language / due process: Masks - “Who decides whether a mask is ‘without lawful excuse’? Obstruct traffic - What counts as ‘unlawfully obstruct’? This is too vague.” 5. What problem is this solving? “Oklahoma already has riot laws, assault laws, and property damage laws. What gap is this bill filling?” Close: “I respectfully urge Representative [NAME] to vote NO on HB3581. Thank you.”Sample Email Part 1. Subject: Vote NO on HB3581. Dear Representative [NAME], I am writing to urge you to vote NO on HB3581 in committee. This bill adds extreme new felony penalties to Oklahoma’s riot law, including 2–10 years in prison for any property damage and the possibility of bail denial. Amendment 2 expanded the property damage provision from government property to ANY structure or building, making it far broader than the original bill. Oklahoma’s riot definition is already very broad. Even permitted, peaceful protests can be labeled “riots” when counter-protesters create violence or when police declare an assembly “unlawful.” Under HB3581, peaceful Oklahomans could face years in prison for incidents they did not cause. URGENT CALL TO ACTION The Oklahoma House Judiciary Committee will be voting on HB3581 tomorrow, February 10th, at 2PM. The bill seeks to add harsh FELONY penalties to the existing riot law. Call and email these the committee representatives and tell them "Vote NO on HB3581."
Image of a megaphone being held up in the bottom right corner. The Political Revolution logo is to the left of it. Text reads: Bad bill Alert. Urgent Call to Action: Stop HB3581 in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma House Judiciary Committee will be holding a hearing at 2pm on Tuesday, February 10th, where HB3581 will be voted on. This bill seeks to add harsh felony penalties to Oklahoma’s existing riot law, which would be effective immediately if it passes. What HB3581 does. The bill adds harsh new felony penalties to Oklahoma's existing riot law. Blocking traffic: raised from a misdemeanor to felony (up to two years). Wearing a mask: new felony (up to 2 years) "without lawful excuse" (undefined). Any property damage: new felony (2-10 years) for everyone present; critical, amendment 2 expanded this from government property to any structure, building, or office space. Possible bail denial: People charged may be held without bail while awaiting trial.Defining "riot." Oklahoma’s riot definition (since 1910) is extremely broad: “Any use of force or violence by three or more persons acting together and without authority of law.” What that means in real life: Counter-protesters attack and three people defend themselves: “riot.” Police declare an assembly “unlawful” and people don’t leave fast enough: “riot." One unknown person breaks something: everyone nearby could be at risk. Even permitted protests can be labeled a “riot” if: Any altercation occurs (including defensive actions), police declare the assembly “unlawful,” counter-protesters escalate violence, or provocateurs infiltrateHB3581 Impact. Under HB3581, peaceful protesters could face: 2-10 years in prison for being present when any property gets damaged (even if they didn't do it). Felony charges for blocking traffic or wearing masks. Months in jail without bail while awaiting trial (job loss, housing loss, custody issues). Permanent felony records.

Don't let these Democratic Senators get away with this. Healthcare premiums will skyrocket if the subsidies aren't extended, and millions of Americans will suffer if the cuts to SNAP and Medicaid aren't overturned. Do not let them rest. #PoliticalRevolution
Eight Democrats Cave to the GOP’S Budget. Don't let them forget. On Sunday, November 9th, after 40 days of government shutdown, 8 Democratic senators buckled and agreed to a “compromise” bill to reopen the government. While it reinstates funding for SNAP and guarantees backpay for furloughed federal workers, the primary issue that Democrats fought for, extending ACA healthcare subsidies, was not secured. The only concession by the GOP is a guaranteed vote on them in December. The bill only funds the government through January 30th, 2026. Given that Congress is Republican majority across the board, it is highly unlikely the subsidies will pass, rendering the Democrats’ stand completely fruitless. Political Revolution logo and website are on the bottom. Visit pol-rev.comThe senators. The following 8 senators have failed Americans. They must answer for this. Do not let them rest - call, email, snail mail them. Make sure that come their time for re-election, they are primaried out of the race.

Jeanne Shaheen - New Hampshire - Retiring in 2026
Maggie Hassan - New Hampshire - Re-election in 2030
Dick Durbin - Illinois - Retiring in 2026
Tim Kaine - Virginia - Re-election 2030
Angus King - Maine - Re-election in 2030
Jacky Rosen - Nevada - Re-election in 2030
Catherine Cortez Masto - Nevada - Re-election in 2028
John Fetterman - Pennsylvania - Re-election in 2028

Chuck Schumer is just as guilty as he is reported to have orchestrated the deal. He is up for re-election in 2028.What now? The bill has yet to pass, as the Senate has a max of 30 hours to debates any amendments to the bill and then vote to pass. Voting began at 6pm on Monday. If it passes, it goes to the House of Reps. They will need to vote to approve the bill or offer amendments. If any amendments are made, it will go back to the Senate to vote. Given the Republican majority in the House, the bill will likely not face issues passing. It will then go to Trump’s desk.
What can you do? Call your House Reps and urge them to not vote for the bill unless amendments are made that extend the ACA subsidies and restore SNAP and Medicaid funding cut in the Big, Beautiful Bill. Contact Democratic Reps and demand they do not cave as the Senators did. Urge them to offer up amendments that support Americans and revert Trump’s policies. Even moreso, contact Republican Reps and demand they do the same. While it may seen fruitless, you deserve to have your voice heard and the slew of Democratic wins last week may make them more susceptible to pressure. Use the 5Calls app or call the Capitol Switchboard at 202.224.3121 to be connected to your Reps.
