FW has one of the most obfuscated plots in the series with a convoluted premise and a bunch of important stuff only mentioned in one of the million different endings but ZUN thinks Toyohime is confusing? All you need to understand is that she's an important moon lady. Why is ZUN like this.

Waiting for new FDS chapters makes me so anxious now. I'm scared.

I got to watch SBR episode 2 with my friends yesterday. Two of them have never read it before and it is so fun to watch them react, completely unaware that this series is going to change their lives by the end. Y'all are right about the ED though. Fucking terrible. What were they thinking lmao.

Beatbreak finale was pretty good. I don't think it was the best Digimon series of all time or anything, but it has been so comforting to have a show like this running where it's clear the showrunners really understand what Digimon is all about. Not perfect, but a real return to form.

About 10 hours into Fortune's Weave. (Theodora ch7) Game seems to be exactly as I thought. Great story, characters, art direction, etc. Gameplay is only okay. On hard classic and everything is still super easy. Kind of disappointing since Engage managed to put up a fight by chapter 3 or 4

The blatantly incorrect names are naturally the stand-out here, but the tiny Lily sprite on a pitch black background really speaks to me personally.

Finally got Eastern and Little Nature Deity. This was the only print work I did not yet have. It took me forever to find one that actually had the CD.

Sometimes I will receive an unfortunate reminder that I am not immune to Konami's DM nostalgia pandering. Look how cool these stupid losers are. It's insane.

Obviously it wouldn't have served a purpose in the game, but I do wish Dai and Koa got full artwork. All EoSDNC is missing is a gallery for the art and omake. Could've included scans of ZUN's original concept art too but they are intent on keeping that for in-person events only for some reason.

The biggest revelation from this game is that Daiyousei is unfortunately chopped

Wait I just booted up the music player app you get in the bundle. There's a new song in New Classic for Extra Phantom

Mouse mode is so fucking funny

The early touhou community genuinely did such a good job of interpreting ZUN's drawings. All the new little details and corrections we get to see in new classic are just kind of worse than the fanon designs lol. I refuse to accept a Patchy without stripes or whatever Rumia is doing with her hands

Almost every single unique fairy from Touhou Project, including the actual named fairies, the enemy fairies and manga background fairies

The original EoSD soundtrack had such an undescribable ethereal charm to it that obviously couldn't be recaptured. But I think most of the remixes do at least match up in their own way and really stand out as far as ZUN's modern music goes. The new UN Owen was her is a direct improvement though imo

DiPP mention in 2026? Holy fuck

I am so bad at playing touhou on controller but I'm still on vacation for a few days so I don't have access to my computer. I'm getting cooked on switch

050

Not advertising the EoSD remake at all outside of japan is actually ridiculous. Especially after translating it to so many languages. What's the point if no new players are even going to get it

060

Metroid looks really good. Extremely glad they seem to just be sticking to what works.

Tag Force 3 remake is kind of insane. Where the hell did that come from

The Koishi/Kokoro height difference means everything to me. It elevates what already would've been an amazing ship to one of the best ever.

Tea @polllinnnn.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Newest Lotus Eaters chapter was pretty good. The mystery was actually something a reader could figure out this time, instead of just being some random one-off Youkai out of nowhere. Characters outside of the core LE cast being featured almost always improves things too.

Highly underappreciated panel. Reimu having no sense of others' personal space. The white space being labelled as a pole instead of just drawing a pole is also incredible.

One of my favorite pieces of Akimaki's art is this preorder bonus card that came with vol 1 of FDS Labyrinth edition from Toranoana. For the life of me, I have never been able to find any reseller listing to purchase it. If anyone has an idea of where I can get my hands on it please let me know.

ZUN says "I'll leave it to Satori" while also personally nuking her from orbit anytime she tries to do anything in this series. Any time she moves even an inch closer to being a protagonist, she gets defeated off-screen and then disappears for an arc.

Was watching the new Beatbreak episode last night while drunk and really tired. Was almost about to fall asleep when *that* happened and I was just looking at the screen like this. I immediately became wide awake and rewatched the entire 2nd half of the episode.

I'm going to make an effort to post more about my other interests going forward since I think being negative about touhou all the time probably makes me sound joyless and insufferable. Will still post about touhou of course, but I just want to make sure my profile isn't just me malding all the time.
